Watch: Compilation of Mexican Standoffs in Movies

There's nothing more dramatic than a good, old fashioned Mexican standoff in the movies. That audience knows things probably aren't going to end well, and you can cut the tension in the air with a knife as you wait for someone to make the first move. Burger Fiction has put together a nice compilation of Mexican standoff scenes in their latest video, which you can check out below:

Jake Gyllenhaal Tears His Life Apart in New DEMOLITION Trailer

Fox Searchlight has just released a new poster and trailer for Demolition, the latest film from Wild and Dallas Buyers Club director Jean-Marc Vallee. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a man who suffers a tragic loss and ends up tearing apart the remnants of his life in order to cope, and he meets a customer service employee who helps him begin to move on with his life.

I want to like this movie because I like a lot of the work Gyllenhaal has done over the past few years, but this trailer doesn't inspire very much faith in me. Naomi Watts' character appears to exist only to help JG through his crisis (at least with what we see here), and her kid looks like one of those typically annoying kid movie characters who helps teach him a valuable lesson. Like, that Hook moment where he forces Gyllenhaal to smile? What is that? Also, that poster? Yikes. I don't know, maybe I'm just in a cynical mood. What do you all think?

Demolition hits theaters on April 8th.

Everything Wrong With Josh Trank's FANTASTIC FOUR

Josh Trank's Fantastic Four bombed at the box office and bombed with fans. The film was just an absolute mess. It's sad! This really could have been a great film, the studio just didn't know what to do with it, and they put it in the wrong hands. It's like they learned nothing from their past mistakes with superhero films.

Cinema Sins has released a new video that points out everything wrong with Fantastic Four and they came up with 149 sins. I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't come up with more than that!

Well, here's an inexplicable and inexcusable mess of a superhero film. Bad in almost every way possible. The only reason it doesn't have more sins is that it was blessedly short in run-time.

Seriously, it's almost like Fox went out of their way to make sure they ruined this franchise.

Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, and Jean Smart Join X-MEN TV Series LEGION

FX's upcoming X-Men TV series Legion has scored some new cast members.

THR reports that Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, The Guest), Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation), and Jean Smart (Fargo, Designing Women) have been added to the cast of the mutant-based series. Here's the synopsis of the show:

Legion tells the story of David Haller. Since he was a teenager, David has struggled with mental illness. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years. But after a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he’s confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

In the comics, David Haller is Professor Xavier's son, which explains those voices in his head. Stevens is set to play Haller, who's described like this: "Diagnosed as schizophrenic at a young age, David is a haunted man, trying to find his way back to sanity, but he's getting tired and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams."

Plaza will play David's friend Lenny, "who despite a life of drugs and alcohol abuse, knows that any day now her life is going to turn around — which gives Lenny the likeable energy of the impossible optimist despite her rough demeanor."

Smart is set for the role of Melanie, "a nurturing, demanding therapist with a sharp mind and unconventional methods." She joins fellow Fargo alum Rachel Keller, who had already been cast as the female lead. Keller is playing "Syd, a self-sufficient and street smart woman who uses her sharp and prickly demeanor to protect her soft core because even though it makes her a sucker and puts her at risk, she still believes in happily ever after."

When discussing the show at the TCAs last month, network CEO John Landgraf told reporters that the series would take place in an alternate timeline to the live-action films:

“It’s not in the continuity of those films in the sense that the current X-Men films take place in auniverse where everybody on planet Earth is aware of the existence of mutants. Legion takes place in a parallel universe, if you will, where the government is aware mutants exist but the public is not. I wouldn’t see characters moving back and forth [between the TV show and the movies] because they really are parallel universes.”

I think Hawley is a brilliant storyteller, and I can't wait to see him tackle something in the realm of X-Men, regardless of how it may or may not intersect with the live action movies. All of these actors are really good (well, from what I've seen from Keller so far, maybe she's just "good" instead of "really good"), and it should be fun to see them inhabit this world on the small screen.

Fan Theory Suggests The End of GALAXY QUEST is Actually a Reality Show

A few days after Alan Rickman passed away (RIP), I fired up Netflix and saw that Galaxy Quest was streaming. I grabbed my wife and a friend, both of whom had never seen it, and we sat down to check it out. Not surprisingly, it holds up wonderfully — the cast and script are terrific, and it really is one of the best Star Trek movies ever made. If you haven't seen it, please go check it out (still streaming, no excuse), because I'm about to spoil the ending.

I hadn't seen the film in years, and I was sort of shocked to discover that it anticipated Hollywood's current trend of reviving cancelled TV shows. The movie ends with the show within the movie, Galaxy Quest, being picked up for continuing adventures starring the original cast (along with a new recruit or two).

But the team at io9 has a different interpretation of the ending. I'll let them explain:

What do you think? Do you think there's any legitimacy to this reading of the film, or is it just another silly fan theory?

Jonas Cuaron Will Direct That Futuristic Zorro Movie, Now Titled Z

$

A futuristic Zorro movie has been slashing around Hollywood for years, and though it's gotten close to production before, it seems like the caped hero is actually going to ride again this time. THR reports that Jonas Cuaron has come on board as the film's new director.

Jonas co-wrote Gravity with his father, director Alfonso Cuaron, and directed a short Gravity spin-off film before making his feature directorial debut with the border thriller Desierto. THR calls the movie, now titled simply Z, a "reworking" of Zorro Reborn, the long-gestating futuristic take on the California nobleman and freedom fighter. But it's unclear if Cuaron will rewrite the script, or if there's been any significant change to the story since he came on board. They do mention that "Z is set in the near future but keeps the idea of a masked and caped stranger taking on tyrants."

Production is supposed to begin this summer at Pinewood's Dominican Republic-based studios. The futuristic angle could either be really cheesy or really cool — it all comes down to the script, because if the story isn't solid, no amount of awesome production design is going to save this movie. What do you think?

Trippy Trailer For CREATIVE CONTROL, A Movie About Virtual Reality

$

I don't really follow many developments in the tech world (I'm too busy keeping up with movies), but even I know that virtual reality is a very big deal and it's going to have a major impact on storytelling in the years to come. We're on the precipice of a new era, and right now, things are still sort of speculative; we can guess, but we don't currently know the heights this new medium can reach or the effects it might have on our society.

A new movie called Creative Control wonders what the world will be like not too far in the future, and this pretty trippy new trailer shows off some of the film's interesting ideas about how VR could leave its mark on relationships. The movie comes to theaters on March 11th.

The setting is New York, 5 minutes in the future. The glorious technological advances and communication devices of the near future meant to increase connectivity and alleviate boredom are only increasing the anxiety level of the insecure New Yorkers who've inherited them. David (writer/director Benjamin Dickinson) is an overworked, tech-addled advertising executive developing a high-profile marketing campaign for a new generation of Augmented Reality glasses. Feeling stuck in his relationship with yoga teacher Juliette (Nora Zehetner, BRICK, IFC's "Maron"), he envies the charmed life of his best friend, fashion photographer Wim (Dan Gill, THE WEDDING RINGER) and his entrancing girlfriend Sophie (Alexia Rasmussen, CALIFORNIA SOLO) - so he uses the glasses to develop a life-like avatar of her. Unwittingly, fantasy and reality begin to blur. As passions escalate and things get increasingly out of hand, the friends are forced to deal with the impending collision between their public, private and imaginary lives.

The Cast of HAIL, CAESAR! Talk About The Film's References, Working With The Coen Brothers, and More

Hail, Caesar!, the newest film from Joel and Ethan Coen, hits theaters tomorrow (read my review here). It’s a wonderfully fun and funny period piece that transports the audience back to 1950s Hollywood, showcasing a ton of different genre styles and delivering the kind of thematic resonance and hilarious characterizations we’ve come to expect from these writer/directors. Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to attend the film’s press junket, where a small group of writers spoke with stars George Clooney, Josh Brolin, Alden Ehrenreich, Jonah Hill, and Channing Tatum about their experiences coming on board the film, some of the movie’s references and shout-outs to old Hollywood films of the past, and Clooney’s thoughts on diversity in the Academy.

First up, Clooney and Brolin talk about how they joined the film:

Clooney: After finishing O Brother, Where Art Thou?, [the Coens] pitched me a movie about a fixer, but one of the characters was an idiot actor — I wonder why they thought of me (laughs) — who gets kidnapped by a bunch of [SPOILERS]. The only line they pitched was Alden’s line: “This is bad for movie stars everywhere,” which killed me. And then they never wrote the script. Every time I did press, I’d say, ‘I’m doing a Coen brothers movie next called Hail, Caesar!’ and Joel and Ethan would call me up and say, ‘Stop saying that! We haven’t written it!’ And then they called a couple of years ago and said, ‘OK, we’ve written it, so let’s go do it.’
Brolin: Since No Country, I would inject myself into their lives. And even other movies I wasn’t involved with, I’d watch them edit because I really enjoy watching them go through their process. It’s a very economical, educational process. I remember asking them when they were doing Llewyn Davis, what they were thinking about doing next, just out of curiosity. They mentioned this movie and [Clooney] would most likely be involved, even though they asked him about it ten years ago. I said, ‘Cool,’ obviously wanting to say, ‘Is there a part in there for me? I’d really enjoy working with you again. Maybe you could pay me more next time because you always pay me nothing.’ (laughs) And then I got a call and they said, ‘Hey, do you want to do this thing?’

Jump Street buddies Hill and Tatum chimed in:

Hill: We were on tour promoting a movie, and it was funny because we were both trying to humblebrag, like subtly brag to each other that we were going to be in a Coen brothers movie.
Tatum: (Slipping into a disaffected version of himself) Man, I just got, like, a Coen brothers e-mail. It’s weird.
Hill: (Adopting a similar manner) Yeah, that’s pretty cool. I think I’m gonna do it. Whatever. (Goes back to normal) And we were both trying to brag to each other, but it was the same movie, and of course, Channing’s part was quadruple the size of my part.
Tatum: I won. (laughs) But I didn’t know that, actually. We both thought we had kind of small parts. In the script, it only says, ‘Mannix walks into a big song and dance, then they dance, and [Tatum’s character Burt] does a knee slide into a bucket.’ So I thought you might see an eight count or something and then a knee slide into a bucket.
Hill: They wrote me an e-mail saying, ‘Are you interested in playing a bucket?’ (everyone laughs) I don’t want to brag, but I’m probably going to play the bucket… (laughs)
Tatum: They asked, ‘Do you know how to tap?’ and I was like, ‘No.’ ‘Well, we’re thinking about tapping. Do you think you could learn it?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ll try!’ ‘Can you sing?’ ‘Nope, can’t do that.’ ‘Can you try?’ ‘Yeah, I’ll try!’ I was so scared that I was going to screw up this movie, just because I didn’t know how to do both of the things they were asking me to do. I’m sure they were like, ‘Oh, he can figure it out,’ and I was terrified of ruining it. Auto-tune is amazing.

Tatum and Clooney spoke about the way the film slips through different genres and all of the little references the Coens infused throughout the story:

Tatum: There’s so much in the movie you guys will probably never know about. In the boat, we weren’t actually in the ocean. It was all in a tank on the Esther Williams stage on the Sony lot, it was all painted backdrops…it’s just chock full of things because they love movies. It’s their dream walk right through a studio lot in the ‘50s. They probably never wanted to wake up.
Clooney: Almost every film they do has some homage. ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’ was a line from Sullivan’s Travels. They actually used shots — the prison break — that were taken from that, and they’d take things from The Wizard of Oz, but they did it with Ku Klux Klan members. So they’re always referencing films, and I think that’s what’s really fun about this film in particular. This is one where they said, ‘OK, let’s put them all in.’

Tatum mentioned a movie called Applied Mathematics, a film that features a stellar tap dance routine from Singin’ in the Rain’s Donald O’Connor (looking super young), and how that scene was an influence on his standout dancing sequence in the movie. I tracked down a YouTube version of the scene he mentioned, and it’s pretty damn impressive:

Clooney also addressed the recent announcement that the Academy is changing some of its policies in the wake of #OscarsSoWhite in order to open up its membership to a more diverse group of artists:

I think it’s a very good idea. I think it’s smart to open up the Academy and make it more diverse. It’s long overdue. I also think that’s just the very end of a long process that needs to be looked at in terms of which studios, the list of names that the studios will green light pictures for, starting with agents, going through writers and directors and everything else. I think that needs to be re-examined for a multitude of reasons and ethnicities. But I do believe that it’s going to get a very good look at now, and I think that’s always good. Any time you open up any part of an industry to diversity, I’ve never seen it not be good.

Hail, Caesar! is in theaters this Friday, and I encourage you to check it out.

Awesome DOCTOR WHO WARS: THE TARDIS AWAKENS Mashup Trailer

I've got an awesome fan-made trailer for you to watch that mashes together footage from Doctor Who — featuring Christopher Eccleston as the ninth Doctor — with the musical score from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The video is called Doctor Who Wars: The TARDIS Awakens, and it was created by YouTuber VG934. As you'll see, the trailer turned out awesome and also kind of moving. I am such a huge fan of Eccleston's version of the Doctor and it's sad he didn't get more time to play him. Here's a note from the creator of the video:

"You could come with me... anywhere."
Over Ten years ago now (blimey, it feels like yesterday) Rose Tyler crossed paths with a madman in a box reopening a universe of adventure. On March 26th 2005, the TARDIS reawakened and Doctor Who was back on our screens.

Just two months ago, Rey and Finn crossed paths with a smuggler, his furry sidekick, and an astromech droid reopening a galaxy of adventure. On December 18th 2015, the Force awakened and Star Wars was back on the big screen.

Being the huge Doctor Who and Star Wars fan that I am, how could I resist the chance to bring these two massive franchises together? Well sort of bring them together, let's call it Who Wars.
Some may call me late to the party but I must remind you that a Wizard is never late, nor is he early - he arrives precisely when he means to. Alas, I'm no Wizard but the same principle applies.

Anyway, I hope 2016's treating you all well and that you enjoy this little mashup as much as I did making it! Don't forget to subscribe, comment, like and share if you did!

Take care and may the Force be with you,

ScreenRant's definition of "spoilers" in this video is sort of questionable, since I don't know that you could say any of these 10 elements hidden in plain sight in popular movies actually ruined the movie for anyone watching. It's probably better if you take the word spoiler out of the equation altogether, and just consider this a video that lays the foundation for things to come with small little references and pieces of foreshadowing. Micheal Pitt Cast as the Villain Laughing Man in GHOST IN THE SHELL

Micheal Pitt, who is best known for his gangster role in HBO's Boardwalk Empire, has been cast in the role of the main villain in director Rupert Sanders' live-action adaptation of the Japanese manga Ghost in the Shell.

Pitt will join Scarlett Johansson, who is playing the lead character, who is a special-ops cyborg. She is part of a specialized task force named Section 9 that deals with the most dangerous criminals and extremists involved with technology-related crime.

Pitt will play the main villain in the story, who is known as the Laughing Man. He is "a bitter and vengeful man with a body that is part robot. He has a unique sense of style and has been described as a bad guy filtered through the lens of a street artist."

"In the Ghost in the Shell series, Laughing Man proves to be the ultimate hacker, capable of such feats as hijacking multiple video streams simultaneously, taking over someone’s cybernetic brain entirely, or even editing his own images out of someone’s cybernetic eyes, and all in real time."

The character's name is taken from the title of J. D. Salinger's short story "The Laughing Man." His logo is an animated image of a smiling figure wearing a cap, with circling text quoting a line from Salinger's novel The Catcher in the Rye, which reads "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes."

After being in and out of development over the past seven years or so, Sanders is prepping to start shooting in late February start in New Zealand from a script written by Jonathan Herman.

Pitt is an incredibly talented actor, and he's going to be great in this role. A couple years ago he starred in a great movie called I Origins that you should definitely check out if you haven't already. What do you think about Pitt in the role of Laughing Man?

GLEASON is an Uplifting and Heartbreaking Story of Never Giving Up — Sundance Review

$
0
0

I normally don't see a lot of documentaries at Sundance, but I had some free time on my hands this year and decided to check out one called Gleason. I really had no idea what I was getting myself into, but wow! This film tells an incredible and inspiring story — a story that needs to be seen by everyone.

Gleason was quite an emotional journey, and tears were shed all throughout the theater. The doc follows the harrowing journey of Steve Gleason, a former NFL defensive back for the New Orleans Saints who was diagnosed with ALS after he retired at the age of 34. The doctors only gave him two to five years to live, and he is making sure to live his life to its fullest for his wife, his son, his family, and his friends.

After he found out he had ALS, he started shooting a series of video journals addressed to his unborn son. He wanted his son to know who his father was before ALS completely took away his ability to move and speak. Through these video journals, we follow Gleason in this new stage of his life and witness his deterioration brought on by the disease. It's incredibly hard to watch, especially when he really vents his frustrations to his unborn child.

The whole time Steve seems to have this glowing positive attitude of how precious life is, but many times the weight of what he is going through really bears down on him...but the guy just doesn't give up! He's pushing himself to live and to help try and make the world a better place in the process. Of course there no way he would be able to do this without the help of his wife. She is by his side every step of the way to help Steve through everything, even when things get insanely hard.

Over the years, he has set up charities and organizations to help improve the lives of those who have also been diagnosed with ALS. By pushing through and living his life to his fullest, he's inspired and helped so many people to do the same.

For me, the movie resonated as a story about fathers and sons. Not only is Steve trying to help guide his own son through life with these videos he's made, but he is also using it as an opportunity to get closer with his own dad. The two don't always see eye to eye on things and there is a lot of tension and frustration between them, but they work through their differences and find common ground to form a stronger bond with each other.

This is such a powerful movie of hope and perseverance. It hard to watch and times and it's incredibly sad, but it's also incredibly uplifting that shows you that there is some amazingly good positivity in the world.

Craig Drake is one of my favorite working artists right now (here's my review of his book of artwork), so I'm happy to debut his brand new poster celebrating the new film Hail, Caesar! The movie is the Coen Brothers' love letter to the Golden Age of Hollywood (my review here), and the awesome Los Angeles-based Hero Complex Gallery currently has an entire collection of posters dedicated to the film which you can check out right here.

Drake's addition focuses on Scarlett Johansson's starlet character, DeeAnna Moran, and it's rendered with the striking lines for which he's known. You can see him having some fun with the shadows here, reminiscent of the ones evoked in many of the film noir movies of the era.

Here are the specs of the poster:

Craig Drake

"DeeAnna"

24"x36" Screen Print

Edition of 100

$60

And here's a quick word from Mr. Drake himself:

"I was heavily inspired by George Lucas' personal collection of golden age Hollywood movie posters which lined the walls of Lucasfilm's SF headquarters. I've been wanting to work in 40's & 50's noir style for some time! Applying it to the Coen Brothers' Hail Caesar! film was the most perfect fit. They are masters at immersing you in this era. Especially films like The Hudsucker Proxy, one of my all time favorites."

The poster will be available this morning around 8:30am PT at HCG's official site, so make sure to head that way if you want to pick one of these up for yourselves.

1966 Style BATMAN V SUPERMAN Trailer with Adam West, George Reeves, and Lynda Carter

I've got a fun, fan-made mashup trailer for you to watch that reimagines Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice as a 1966 film starring Adam West, George Reeves, and Lynda Carter. That would have been one hell of a great crossover movie!

Thanks to Youtuber LeoCurbeloFilms, we have an idea of what that would have looked like by using footage from the classic series Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The creator did the best he could. Some things don't really match up with the audio from the Batman v Superman trailer, but that doesn't stop it from being entertaining.

I've gotta say... I absolutely loved who they threw into the video to stand in as Doomsday. Enjoy!

A couple months ago we learned that Supergirl would introduce audiences to a young Superman. Daniel DiMaggio was cast as the young Kal-El, and today we have our first look at him in the series. We also have some plot details to share with you!

The episode is based on Alan Moore’s classic Superman story “For the Man Who Has Everything,” which centers on Kara being trapped in a dream world where Krypton never exploded and her cousin Kal-El never became Superman.

Here’s the official description of the episode:

“Kara’s friends must find a way to save her life when a parasitic alien attaches itself to her and traps her in a dream world where her family is alive and her home planet was never destroyed. Kara’s beloved cousin Kal-El joins her and her parents in domestic Kryptonian bliss, where neither of them needed to escape to Earth, or become superheroes. Also, Alex, Hank and the DEO must fend off a Kryptonian attack while Kara is out of commission.”
Melissa Benoist leads the cast of Supergirl season one as the title character with a cast that also includes Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane (sister of Lois), David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, with Dean Cain and Helen Slater.

“For the Girl Who Has Everything” is set to air on Monday, February 8th. You can check out several other photos from the episode below.

Ever Wonder What The Fake Cocaine Actors Snort in Movies Really Is?

$
0
0

Last month I attended the Sundance Film Festival, and as always, there were a lot of films that featured lots of characters snorting lots of cocaine. Sundance films like their cocaine, but we see actors snorting a cocaine-like substance up their noses all the time in the movies. It’s obviously not really cocaine, though.

If you’ve ever wondered what the actors are really snorting, I have the answer for you, thanks to the Independent. What Hollywood has used has changed over the years, and in the past, like back in the 70s and 80s, they were using powdered milk and baking soda. These days, though, when you see an actor snorting something up their nose is a powered called inositol, which is also used as a cutting agent for actual cocaine.

Inositol is a vitamin B powder that actually gives you a “slight energy lift.” It’s used in a lot of the energy shot drinks that are sold. So the person snorting the inositol is still going to get a kick of energy, just not as much as actual cocaine would give them. It’s also a vitamin, so it’s healthy for you! It’s like a diet cocaine!

According to veteran prop master Jeff Butcher, who has worked on a lot of movies with drugs in it, Mickey Rourke freaked out on the set of The Wrestler when he found out he was snorting inositol. He explained:

“He was like, ‘I have anxiety issues—now you tell me?'He was truly upset. But he was okay a couple minutes later.”

Here’s the thing. The nose isn’t really meant for ingesting things into your body. I’ve never sniffed anything up my nose, because why would I do that?! Apparently, Al Pacino had issues with his nasal passages for years after he made Scarface because of all the stuff he snorted during the production of the film. It’s not going to kill you, but there are obviously some side effects so snorting stuff even if it's not cocaine.

Netflix Renews ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK for 3 More Seasons

Orange is the New Black must be doing very well for Netflix, because the streaming service announced today that they've picked it up for three more seasons! That a big order! Creator and executive producer Jenji Kohan will stay on to spearhead the prison-set drama and the fourth season will premiere on June 17th.

Netflix's VP of original content Cindy Holland said in a statement:

"Jenji and her team have produced a phenomenal and impactful series that is both funny and dramatic, outrageous and heartfelt. Audiences around the world have come to love the ladies and men of Orange is the New Black, and we are eager to see where three more seasons will take them,” Netflix's vp, original content, Cindy Holland, said in a statement.

These are Kohan's thoughts on the show getting three more seasons:

“Three more years! Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. In some cultures, ‘May you lead an interesting life,’ is a curse, but I don't live in those cultures. Here's to keeping it interesting. Thanks Netflix! Both thanks and you're welcome Lionsgate! And kudos and gratitude to the stellar cast and crew and writers and producers and editors and musicians and mixers and shleppers... with whom I have the pride and honor of crafting this show. Three more years! Three more years!"

Lionsgate TV group chairman Kevin Beggs added:

“We’re proud to continue our long-standing relationships with Netflix and the incredibly talented Jenji Kohan and delighted that one of the most acclaimed shows on television will continue on Netflix for three more seasons. Jenji’s brilliant creative vision and a truly amazing cast have catapulted Orange is the New Black to the forefront of the platinum age of television, and we’re pleased that Orange fans around the world will be rewarded with another three seasons."

It's going to be interesting to see where Kohan takes these characters over the next three seasons. So much craziness can happen. I started watching the show reluctantly, but now I'm hooked because it's such a great show!

The series is based on the best-selling memoir of the same name by Piper Kerman, and it stars Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks, Selenis Leyva, Samira Wiley, Taryn Manning, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Lea DeLaria, Adrienne C. Moore, and Elizabeth Rodriguez, along with Michael Harney and Nick Sandow.
