Slick STAR WARS-Inspired AT-AT Art by Craig Drake

Artist Craig Drake recently unveiled this new Star Wars piece he has been working on. The piece was created for The Hero Complex Gallery, and if you’re interested, you can buy yourself a print of it here. I’m such a big fan of Drake’s slick style, and this is easily one of the coolest pieces of AT-AT fan art that I’ve seen. When asked why there was no snowspeeder or Luke Skywalker in the design that artist said:

"I tend not to overload compositions keeping them mostly singularly. But I hear you. It's tempting however. I love those snowspeeders and would rather give them their own print."

I'll be looking forward to seeing that snowspeeder print!

DEADPOOL - Post Credits Scene Confirmed and Positive Twitter Reactions

20th Century Fox held special screening events in New York and Los Angeles last night for an early unfinished cut of Deadpool, and Twitter was flooded with reactions from fans who were lucky enough to watch the movie! Pretty much all of the reactions that I came across were positive, so for those of you who were hoping for a great Deadpool movie, it looks like we're all in luck! According to what people are saying, director Tim Miller and Ryan Reynolds have made a movie which will make Deadpool fans proud.

It was also confirmed that there will be an post-credits scene, so make sure to stick around after the credit roll! There's no information on what the end credits will entail, but I'm sure it'll be great! Here's a collection of Tweets that you can read through.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

The movie also stars Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand. The rest of us will get to see Deadpool on February 12th, 2016.

Fox Says They Are Open to GOTHAM Spinoffs

Love it or hate it, Gotham is going nowhere anytime soon. In fact, CBR is reporting that Fox President Gary Newman said he would be happy to see a spin off of the series focusing on one of the show's central villains! There's an incredible "BUT" to that, as Newman follows up the statement with...

We haven't had any conversations with Warners about whether or not they'd want to do a spinoff series. I think that would be an issue for DC. It isn't quite clear to me that they'd be ready to do that, but it's a good idea."

Sounds to me like the wheels are turning at Fox, and while nothing official has been pitched to DC, they have the idea that it won't be well received. As much as I would like to see Penguin get his own show, I can see the issue DC has in expanding a multiverse story line separate from its current brand and potentially confusing viewers. That being said, Gotham has been a huge success for Fox, and while I know its fan base is about a 50/50 split here on the site, I wouldn't mind another Gotham-based series!

Microsoft Bringing MINECRAFT: EDUCATION for Use in Schools

For years, teachers have fought to keep Minecraft out of their classrooms. They've locked computers, confiscated phones, and even served suspensions. Despite their best efforts, Minecraft remains one of the most popular games for kids today, and Microsoft is looking to expand that love to an even larger audience. Minecraft: Education is being shopped to schools as a modded Minecraft that is geared towards education.

In its press release, Mojang says it has required longtime mod Minecraftedu, which was being used in 40 countries at its time of purchase. The cost per student would be at a discounted five dollars, and educators would have a litany of lesson plans to download depending on what subject they are teaching.

Current projects range from a tour of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the learning of electrical engineering principles, and the examination and structure of WWII Anderson bomb shelters. Microsoft promises future updates will allow for much more collaboration, customization, and even teach students the basics of computer code.

I guess this isn't any different than when I learned math from Math Blaster, but for me it still feels like Microsoft forcing its game on more kids. Maybe I'm just jealous the games weren't cooler when I was younger.

Christopher Nolan Reflects On Working With David Bowie

Aside from Labyrinth, The Prestige has to be my favorite David Bowie appearance in film. I remember the reaction my friends and I had when we saw the film in theaters. It was like "Oh s***, it's David Bowie!" Not necessarily the most articulate response, but it gave the effect I think Nolan wanted for the character of Nikola Tesla. Nolan makes me feel kind of vindicated in this interview he did with Entertainment Weekly in 2006, in which he discusses working with the star:

"...He seemed to be the only actor capable of playing the part. He had that requisite iconic status, and he was a figure as mysterious as Tesla needed to be. It took me a while to convince him, though—he turned down the part the first time. It was the only time I can ever remember trying again with an actor who passed on me..."

Turns out Nolan essentially begged Bowie to be a part of the film to get him to agree. The appearance is brief, but encompasses some of the film's better known scenes.

Nolan said Bowie was great on set and took the time to talk with everyone whom he worked with. He even admits he fell for the mystique of the singer in the five days they worked together:

"Normally when you meet stars, no matter how starry they are, when you see them as people, some of that mystique goes away. But not with David Bowie. I came away from the experience being able to say I was still his biggest fan, and a fan who had the very miraculous opportunity to work with him for a moment."

It's cool to hear Nolan say that, as I've always thought that was Bowie's best quality. He was able to make himself known even if you weren't familiar with anything he did. He just had the star status and look! Sad that we lost him.

Zack Snyder May Have Inspired Ben Affleck Into The BATMAN Director's Chair

Ben Affleck is already co-writing the upcoming solo Batman film with Geoff Johns, and there are rumors that he will also direct the film. Those rumors have yet to be confirmed, and when Affleck was recent asked about it in an interview with USA Today, he still didn't confirm or deny it. This is what he did say, though:

"I’ll just say going through the process, I would never have imagined that I could or would direct a movie like this. And in working with (Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder) and seeing what he did and watching him every day, I got really inspired by that and by seeing the scope on which he was telling the story, by seeing what he was able to do with this kind of mythic story on a grand scale."

He was very careful with his words there, but he kind of implies that he'd like to do it. I imagine that he and the studio are still in the process of working out all the contractual details, which is why they haven't officially announced it yet. Maybe he simply hasn't decided if he wants to take on the challenge or not. If he does end up taking the directing job, I guess we can thank Snyder for inspiring him to do it.

I really do hope Affleck decides to direct The Batman solo film. I think he would do an awesome job with it and give fans something they'll enjoy. As much as I enjoy Snyder's directing style, I think Affleck is the better choice to develop this film.

Scientists Tell Us Why Spider-Man Couldn't Scale Walls In Real Life

Allow me to give the first LOL to the person who looks at the headline of this article and says "because he's not real." We have scientists in this world to give us overly complicated answers and better explain exactly why things are impossible, as opposed to "just cuz." The National Academy of Sciences has confirmed what we all know, but through the use of science and sheer geekery, they've revealed that Spider-Man's feet are just too small and he's not sticky enough.

Specifically, Spider-Man would need a shoe size of around 114 Men's in American! Granted, that's if he were wishing to climb walls as a gecko does, and while the science is no less valid, he's not Gecko-Man. Still, to accomplish spider walking, he'd need sticky stuff on about 80% of his suit to support his body weight.

Why is this important? Why does science crush our dreams? Turns out the study was done to better improve the field of study that is currently trying to make our Spider-Man ambitions a reality! So there is a silver lining. Hopefully one day the tech exists for my grandchildren to score a woman like Kirsten Dunst.

Last week, we shared some adorable and amusing comic art by Brian Kresinger featuring Calvin & Hobbes-style characters in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens universe. Since then, the artist has created several new illustrations featuring characters from The Force Awakens in a Calvin & Hobbes setting and style. As you’ll see, the fun comic art just gets better and better! This stuff brings me all kinds of joy and happiness. Hopefully it does the same for you.

Seth Rogen and Zac Efron Team Up in NEIGHBORS 2: SORORITY RISING Trailer

I laughed my ass off watching the first Neighbors movie. It was just a good, fun, dirty comedy. The first trailer has been released for the sequel and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising looks like it will be just as ridiculous and funny as the first film.

Nicholas Stoller came back to the direct the film and Seth Rogen and Zac Efron team up to shut down a hard-partying sorority led by Chloë Grace Moretz. The movie also stars Rose ByrneDave Franco, Ike Barinholtz, Carla Gallo, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kiersey Clemons, Beanie Feldstein, Selena Gomez, and Lisa Kudrow.

You'll find the trailer below this detailed synopsis of the film. Check it out and let us know if this is a movie you'll be seeing.

Returning stars Seth Rogen, Zac Efron and Rose Byrne are joined by Chloë Grace Moretz for Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, the follow-up to 2014’s most popular original comedy. Nicholas Stoller again directs in a film that follows what happens when the will of parenthood goes against the bonds of sisterhood.
Now that Mac (Rogen) and Kelly Radner (Byrne) have a second baby on the way, they are ready to make the final move into adulthood: the suburbs. But just as they thought they’d reclaimed the neighborhood and were safe to sell, they learn that the new occupants next door are a sorority even more out of control than Teddy (Efron) and his brothers ever dreamed of being.
Tired of their school’s sexist, restrictive system, the unorthodox ladies of Kappa Nu have decided to start a house where they can do whatever the hell they want. When Shelby (Moretz) and her sisters, Beth (Kiersey Clemons) and Nora (Beanie Feldstein), find the perfect place just off campus, they won’t let the fact that it’s located on a quiet street stand in their way of parties as epic as the guys throw.
Forced to turn to the one ex-neighbor with the skills to bring down the new Greeks next door, the Radners—alongside best friends Jimmy (Ike Barinholtz) and Paula (Carla Gallo)—bring in charismatic Teddy as their secret weapon. If he can infiltrate the sorority and charm his way through it, the thirtysomethings will shutter the Kappas’ home. But if they think that their neighbors are going down without a fight, they have severely underestimated the power of youthful ingenuity and straight-up crazy.

Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising opens on May 20th, 2016.

Jet-Powered Sci-Fi Short Film - TRAVELER

$

I’ve got a solid sci-fi short for you to watch today called Traveler. The movie was written and directed by Simon Brown of the The CGBros, and you can tell he put a lot of hard work into bringing his story to the screen. Brown is a VFX artist that has worked on films such as The Matrix Revolutions, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and Ice Age: Meltdown. He obviously used his skills to add a bit a visual awesomeness to his short.

"Traveler" is a teaser short for an epic sci-fi feature set in the near future.
When a group of friends discover a secret code on the dark-web, they build a jet-powered craft to attempt jumping to the far side of our galaxy. But when they succeed, they unwittingly open up earth to the ‘aware’ - civilizations who are advanced enough to ‘jump’ through space.
Earth sits at a crucial way-point in the universe and has been targeted for illegal colonization. Only our adventurers can stop this - if they prove to the galactic council how nefarious the security chief's plans are. Such a quest will take them to the far edges of the galaxies and the far-flung worlds there.

The CG effects are solid and the story concept is decent, but I will admit that the acting is a little flat. That can be forgiven, though, because I imagine this is a short film that used what they had available to them. That being said, I could see this concept being turned into a feature film with proper funding.

Odin's Fate in THOR: RAGNAROK Revealed

$

As Marvel Studios blasts forward into Phase Three, the company is nearly finished wrapping up all of the standalone trilogies it started years ago. Iron Man 3 has already come and gone, Captain America: Civil War is next up, and the final trilogy entry of the original Avengers is Thor: Ragnarok, which we've been hearing a lot of information about recently.

Cate Blanchett is in talks to play a villain, and we know Mark Ruffalo's Hulk will pop up in the movie alongside Chris Hemsworth's Thor. But what about Anthony Hopkins' Odin? At the end of Thor: The Dark World, Loki disguised himself as Odin and, as far as we know, Loki still sits on the throne of Asgard and rules in his stead. What happened to the real Odin, though? Geek.com has found out how Odin will factor into the plot of Thor: Ragnarok, so if you don't want to be spoiled, turn back now.

It’s near impossible to kill Odin, and the best time to try is while he’s in his Odinsleep (a sort of meditation used to recharge the Odinforce, a powerful magic possessed by the ruler of Asgard). When Loki replaced him, Odin wasn’t in his magical slumber. As much as Loki might want to kill Odin, he didn’t — or, at least, can’t — just yet. Whatever did happen, Odin has fled Asgard for Midgard, where he wanders the Earth as one of those crazy-looking “the end is nigh” street-corner hobos, warning of the impending apocalypse (American for Ragnarok).

This could go a couple of different ways: seeing Odin like this could be sad and disheartening, or they could play it for laughs. Since Marvel brought in Flight of the Conchords director Taika Waititi to direct, and the filmmakers have talked about wanting to make these movies funnier, I'm guessing it's going to be played for laughs. Anthony Hopkins decked out as an Earth-bound hobo should be kind of funny, especially considering how Shakespearean and powerful he was in the first film. Kevin Feige has said that very little of this movie is going to take place on Earth, so I wouldn't be surprised if Thor helps Odin return to Asgard and fight in the ultimate apocalyptic battle that serves as the end of that world as we know it.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3rd, 2017.

The 10 Greatest X-FILES Episodes, According to Me

the-10-greatest-x-files-episodes-according-to-me

With the premiere of The X-Files revival almost upon us, I’ve been re-watching the series again. This is probably the fifth time in my life that I’ve gone through and watched the entire series. (Thanks for that, Netflix!) It’s the gift that keeps on giving. I have a blast watching this show, and there are always things I catch that I’ve never noticed before. As I watched it this last time, I made a list of ten of my favorite episodes that left a lasting impression on me, and I wanted to share that list with you.

There are so many great episodes in this show that it was hard to nail it down to just ten, but that's what I did. There's a good chance that all of my choices won't be in line with your choices of favorite episodes. I wanted to add as much variety as I could. So please feel free to share what some of your favorite episodes are in the comments below.

I previously put together a list of best comedic X-Files episodes, and there are a couple episodes from that list that also made it on to this one. You can see that list here if you want.

Pilot - Season 1, Ep. 1

“Sorry, nobody down here but the FBI's most unwanted.”

This is what started it all! This is where we were introduced to Fox Mulder and Dana Scully for the first time. Little did we know the long crazy journey that these two characters had in store for them. Scully is assigned to Mulder to debunk The X-Files project he was working on, and I was hooked on the series the moment that Mulder and Scully met for the first time in his office. Things just escalated and got better from there.

Their first assignment took them to Bellefleur, Oregon to investigate the mysterious deaths of four high school class members. They are met with some paranormal and strange activities during their investigation and Mulder believes that Swenson's death is due to extraterrestrial activity.

Home - Season 4, Ep. 2

“Well, aside from the need for corrective lenses and a tendency to be abducted by extraterrestrials involved in an international governmental conspiracy, the Mulder family passes genetic muster.”

The story for this episode follows agents Mulder and Scully as they encounter three creepy, monstrous-looking brothers living on a farm in a remote section of Pennsylvania. They are the product of generations of inbreeding of the Peacock family. The investigation is sparked by the death of a newborn child found in a shallow grave on the outskirts of a small town.

This was inspired by true-life events and even included a story from Charlie Chaplin’s autobiography about an encounter in an English tenement home. As the story goes, after dinner, the family he stayed with took him upstairs to meet their son. They pulled him out from under a bed and he saw that he was a quadruple amputee who "flopp[ed] around" while the family sang and danced.

The episode was so controversial that it was banned from Fox after its first airing due to its sensitive subject matter. It’s also the only episode to receive a TV-MA rating in America.

The Unnatural - Season 6, Ep. 19

“I don't want to be no famous man. Just want to be a man.”

In this episode, Mulder is searching through a FBI reference book and finds a photo of Arthur Dales with a baseball team and an alien bounty hunter. The story takes place in the 1940s and revolves around a black baseball player who played for a minor league team in Roswell, New Mexico. As the story unfolds we learn that baseball player Josh Exley is really an alien who just loves to play the game, and Dales was assigned to protect him from the KKK.

This was a moving episode for me, and it felt like I was watching a great baseball movie with a sci-fi twist. David Duchovny made his writing and directing debut with this episode. The character Josh Exley is based on a real baseball player named Josh Gibson of the Homestead Grays, aka "the black Babe Ruth." It was also the first and last time that the Alien Bounty Hunter in the series showed his true face.

Squeeze - Season 1, Ep. 3

“Is there any way I can get it off my fingers quickly without betraying my cool exterior?”

Scully and Mulder are brought in to investigate the mysteries surrounding a businessman who is found dead in his office. There was no way that any living human could have committed this crime. Turns out the killer's victims can be traced to cases over 60 years old and Mulder figures out that the killer is able to squeeze himself through small places and that he comes out of hibernation every 30 years to feed his appetite of human livers.

This was just such a fascinating concept and it kind of reminded me of Stephen King's IT, only without the creepy-ass clown. The story was originally supposed to involve an alien conspiracy, but they ended up changing it and it became the first “Monster of the Week” standalone story that became a staple of the series.

Drive - Season 5, Ep. 2

“Well, on behalf of the International Jewish Conspiracy, I just need to inform you that we're... almost out of gas.”

In this thrilling episode, a man infected with a deadly pathogen climbs into Mulder's car and forces him to keep the car moving because if he doesn’t, his head would pretty much explode. While this is going on, Scully is trying to produce an antidote that can save him.

The episode was inspired by real-life secret military experiments that explored the use of low-frequency waves. Bryan Cranston starred in the episode, and he gave an incredible performance. This was his first time working with Vince Gilligan, who eventually went on to cast Cranston as Walter White on Breaking Bad.

Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose - Season 3, Ep. 4

“You know, there are worse ways to go, but I can't think of a more undignified way than autoerotic asphyxiation.”

I’ve always been fascinated by psychic abilities, and this episode deals with exactly that. Scully and Mulder are are assigned to investigate of a series of murders in which the victims were all some kind of psychic. The police end up bringing in a well-known TV psychic that Mulder thinks is ridiculous. While investigating the case, he comes across a man named Clyde Bruckman, an insurance salesman who is actually a genuine psychic and can see how people will die.

This is not only a great episode, but it’s also loaded with some great humor. Clyde is played by Peter Boyle and he’s freakin’ awesome in it! He was so good that he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. The episode also won Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

Ice - Season 1, Ep. 8

“Before anyone passes judgment, may I remind you, we are in the Arctic.”

If you’re a fan of John Carpenter's The Thing, then of course you’re going to love this episode! In this story, Mulder and Skully are sent to investigate a team of geophysicists who were killed off by a parasitic alien life form at a remote Alaskan outpost station. When the agents arrive at the deserted post, they come across an ancient micro-organism from one of the deep core samples the scientists were drilling for. This begins to infect some of the team members and leads to insanity and paranoia among them as they try to figure out who is infected so they aren’t all killed.

The character Campbell is said to be a tribute to John W. Campbell, the author of the story "Who Goes There?" which is the story that inspired the 1951 film The Thing From Another World and 1982’s The Thing.

Post-Modern Prometheus - Season 5, Ep. 5

“I am alarmed that you would reduce these people to a cultural stereotype. Not everybody's dream is to get on Jerry Springer.”

As a long-time fan of classic monster movies, I couldn’t help but just fall in love with this episode. The story was inspired by those films and it revolved around a Frankenstein-type monster that lived in the woods near a small community. Mulder receives a letter asking for his help to solve the mystery, so he and Scully go there to help out in any way that they can. One of the locals in the town even created a comic book inspired by the creature that he called the Great Mutato.

The episode was shot in black and white, which perfectly set the tone and mood. The title of the episode was is a homage to Mary Shelley's famous book Frankenstein - which is actually titled Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus

Via Negativa - Season 8, Ep. 7

“Just cause I'm assigned to the X-Files, you want me to think like Scully or Mulder would. You got the wrong guy - I need facts, not wild ideas.”

Just because David Duchovny left the X-Files for a while doesn’t mean the series got any worse. Robert Patrick came into the series as John Doggett, who was Scully’s new partner. They had a great run together, but this is my favorite episode that featured Agent Doggett.

In the story, Doggett teams up with Skinner to go after a cult leader who murders people in their dreams with an axe. Doggett gets too close and the killer influences him into going after Scully to kill her. This leads to an intense and creepy final act.

The Truth Part I and II - Season 9, Ep. 19 & 20

“What is the point of all of this? To destroy a man who seeks the truth or to destroy the truth so no man can seek it? Either way, you lose.”

These are the two final episodes of the series that brought The X-Files series to an end. It marks the return of Fox Mulder after being absent from the series for a while. Upon his return, he is tried before a military tribunal that is looking to justify and prove the existence of an alien conspiracy and the X-Files.

I loved how the final scene in series took place in a motel that is kind of a call back to the same motel scene in the pilot episode when Mulder told Scully about Samantha's abduction. It’s one of my favorite series finales ever.

It was really hard for me to watch because I thought it would be the last time we ever got to see Mulder and Scully together. It ended with them in such a touching and beautiful way. Thankfully, after the series concluded, we got another X-Files movie and a series revival is coming soon! Tune in to Fox on January 24th to check it out!

Netflix Chief Talks About Potential Second Season of MAKING A MURDERER

$

(Spoilers ahead.)

Buzz surrounding Netflix's true crime documentary series Making a Murderer is slowly dying down, and while the show had an undeniable impact in the first few weeks of release, we've already experienced the normal cycle for a show like this: the initial high, the backlash, and the backlash to the backlash, with all of us awash in a sea of thinkpieces. (I've contributed to this as well.)

Still, there have been some rumblings about a possible second season, as filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos said on Sunday that they have been recording phone calls with Steven Avery "with an eye toward including them in any episodes, should there be any future episodes." THR sat down with Netflix chief Ted Sarandos for a quick interview about the show and its possible future, and wants everyone to lower their expectations right off the bat:

There's no idea for a second season, there's no pitch for a second season; we're not talking about a second season. What I was saying about other people covering the story now, it is its own thing and it is its own news cycle. So if Nancy Grace wants to make a lot of talk about it, it's because her audience is talking about the show and she knows it. They're very smart about what's in their zeitgeist and that's why they're talking about it. That's why Discovery is picking up on it [with ID's follow-up special] because they have the same sense that we all did: 'My god, everyone in the world is talking about this case.'

But when asked if he wanted to see more of the show, he replied:

For sure. It's a really compelling story. People are recognizing that it's not about whether or not he's guilty or innocent; it's really about did he get a fair shake and is it fair what happened to him and could that happen to me. That's what people are really reacting to.

And when asked about what the ideal format for more episodes of the show would be, Sarandos answered:

It really depends on what happens in the next couple months. I think there's been such pressure to look at this case in a different way. [Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker] has been ignoring it. President Obama can't do anything about it. It's on their dockets. I have no idea how it's going to break.

So it seems unlikely that anything new is coming any time soon, but Avery does have a new team of defense lawyers now, so if they're able to get him a new trial, then those developments could easily take up another couple of episodes. The whole interview is worth reading if you've seen Making a Murderer, so check it out here. If you haven't seen the show, you can watch the first episode below:

First Concept Art For Zack Snyder's JUSTICE LEAGUE Film Reveals Flash, Cyborg, and More

$

DC Films launched a new Facebook page today, and the first image they shared was this piece of concept art for Zack Snyder's upcoming two-part Justice League movie. The CW will broadcast a Dawn of the Justice League special tonight with the promise of footage, images, and information of the company's new cinematic universe, so expect more stuff like this to pop up over the next day or two.

The image shows Henry Cavill's Superman, Ben Affleck's Batman, and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman looking pretty close to how we've already seen them on screen and in the trailers. Jason Momoa's Aquaman looks a little bulkier than the initial image of him, and this appears to be our first look at Ray Fisher's Cyborg and Ezra Miller's The Flash (complete with a backwards lightning bolt logo on his chest for some reason).

It's curious that Green Lantern isn't among the heroes featured here, but since we haven't heard anything official about that character's casting yet, perhaps the studio is waiting until they have someone specific locked in before starting artwork for him.

Hopefully we'll find out more in tonight's broadcast, but what do you think about this concept art?

PEE-WEE'S BIG HOLIDAY Teaser Trailer and Premiere Date Announced

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Pee-wee Herman's highly anticipated new film Pee-wee's Big Holiday. The streaming service also announced that the Judd Apatow-produced film will be released at 12:01 am on March 18th.

Apatow has been working on developing this project with Paul Reubens over the last few years, and it's awesome to see that they actually made it happen! Here's a brief plot summary that was released for the movie:

A fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny.

It's been 30 years since Tim Burton's Pee-wee's Big Adventure was released, and it doesn't look like the character has changed at all. The movie was directed by John Lee and it also stars Joe Manganiello, Jessica Pohly, Alia Shawkat, and Stephanie Beatriz. As a long-time fan of Pee-wee, I can't wait to watch him embark on a new silly adventure.

SUICIDE SQUAD Gets a Colorful (and Ridiculous) New Poster

This past weekend, Warner Bros. revealed a series of unique character posters for David Ayer's upcoming Suicide Squad movie that captured the essence of the villains without actually showing real images of the actors playing those characters. Now WB has unveiled another new poster (via Yahoo), which shares a similarly ridiculous color scheme and actually features pictures of the cast — although they've basically been Photoshopped to hell.

I appreciate the fact that they're embracing color and not relying on the same flat, dull, monochromatic look of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, so this movie definitely has that going for it. And regardless of how bad this poster is, at least the footage looks kind of cool, and I suppose that's what matters the most at this point. I know a new trailer is coming soon, so maybe we'll see more in tonight's CW special about the future of the DC Cinematic Universe.

There's really not much to dive into with this one, folks. Here's Warner Bros.' new Wonder Woman logo, which looks an awful lot like all of the other Wonder Woman logos throughout history except it combines the double W design with an eagle's head in the middle.
