Donnie Yen Faces Off Against Mike Tyson in Badass New Trailer For IP MAN 3

Ip Man 3 has a brand new trailer, and it looks like it isn't going to disappoint fans who are hoping to see star Donnie Yen kick some serious ass. This trailer is full of badass moments, including when Yen goes face to face with former boxer Mike Tyson, who plays a real estate developer who also happens to be a street fighter, because that makes total sense.

I spent a few years getting really into Tony Jaa's filmography and consuming as many martial arts movies as I could find, and seeing this trailer reminds me of that period in my life and makes me want to dive back into those kinds of films again. I somehow missed the previous two Ip Man movies, but I've heard great things about them and might have to catch up with them before Ip Man 3 arrives in theaters on January 22nd, 2016.

My 10 Hours Spent Watching Shia LaBeouf Watch Shia LaBeouf

Oh Shia LaBeouf, the walking enigma. Ever since LaBeouf was caught plagiarizing, it seems that he has gone off the deep end. From announcing his retirement from acting (yet continuing to act), to his weird art shows, the 29-year-old actor has radically changed his image into an apparent high art intellectual. Whether you think of him as a genius or a joke doesn't matter because he'll just keep doing what he's doing and I think there's something respectable about that. In my opinion, I think he's somewhere in between being a genius and a joke. But onto the experience!

I was at work on Tuesday when I got a message from my friend that LaBeouf was in the midst of a three day movie marathon of his entire filmography in reverse chronological order at the Angelika Film Center here in New York. I responded with all caps, WE'RE GOING. At 4pm, my shift was over and I headed to the theater. I met my friend outside the theater at 5pm and we got in line and the waiting began. As of writing this, the line has exploded out the door and people are waiting 8-12 hours to get into the theater. Luckily for my friend and I, we had little to no line and waited no more than an hour until we were seated in the same row of the theater as LaBeouf.

The first movie I saw was Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac Volume 1. Now, I am one of the biggest critics of Lars Von Trier and I do not like this film, but I have to say how utterly surreal it was to watch Shia LaBeouf watch Shia LeBeouf have sex on screen. It was like something you'd hear your friend talk about some sort of dream or nightmare they had. But this was real life! At the end of the film, LaBeouf bolted from his seat and out the door, a trend that would continue throughout the night. My friend said the novelty had worn off and he headed home. So there I was, in a theater of strangers and Shia LaBeouf getting ready to watch Charlie Countryman

Charlie Countryman and The Company You Keep were next up after Nymphomaniac. At one point during the night, an audience member who I can only assume was incredibly drunk (must have snuck in a flask or something) knocked into the camera as he hobbled out of the theater. The livestream was supposedly affected by this as I was messaged that the livestream went down around this time. At one point in the night I maneuvered myself until I was 2 seats away from LaBeouf.

As the night went on, a peculiar thing was happening: in the beginning of the evening, the audience (myself included) would focus on the screen and watch the film with LaBeouf, only occasionally looking over at him. But as the night dragged on, our collective focus shifted ot the actor. There was really no reason for this, and I don't quite know how to explain it, but it was just a natural progression of our focus.

Lawless was shown after The Company You Keep, and if you've seen that film (or Charlie Countryman for that matter), you know that LaBeouf gets his ass kicked a lot. Again it was an incredibly strange moment watching someone watching themselves get the shit kicked out of them on screen. There were also the scenes in both Lawless and The Company You Keep where Shia's character would be flirting with a girl. His characters share a similarity in this regard as they are incredibly cocky and overconfident and yet very charming. During these scenes, Shia had a somewhat sly smile on his face.

But my favorite part of the night and the moment I will cherish for the rest of my life came towards the end of my stay. If you know me, you know I am an avid defender of the Transformers films and to a greater extent director Michael Bay. So there I am, watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon with its main star and it was incredible. But as we all know, the Transformers franchise is kind of ridiculous — it's part of its charm in my opinion. So there's a scene in Dark of the Moon in which Buzz Aldrin appears. Yes, BUZZ ALDRIN, not an actor portraying him. They actually got Buzz Aldrin to appear in this film. This is a dude who has actually been on the moon and he's reduced to talking to the Autobots, thanking THEM for all they've done and their achievements. It's an insane scene that I cannot help but laugh at. So there I am cracking up at Transformers and Shia LaBeouf looks over at me and starts laughing too. We reveled in the fantastic absurdity of the film.

At one point in the night, some fellow patrons asked how long I was gonna stay as I had become somewhat of a staple in the theater. There were a handful of others that had been there for a great length as well. I told them I'd stay as long as my mind would let me. I jokingly insulted Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, saying that I'd sleep through that shit film because money may never sleep, but I do. As I said this, LaBeouf returned to his seat. I just shit talked one of his films and he didn't care in the slightest, or at least that's how it appeared.

This was first and foremost a movie marathon. LaBeouf never spoke, there was really no talking in the theater — it was a very chill and peaceful atmosphere. LaBeouf would watch his films with great intent, sometimes leaning forward in his seat, getting closer to the screen. At one point in the night, he went to sleep. He legitimately got out of his seat and laid down in the back of theater and went to sleep. It was great.

After ten hours, I left the theater around 3:30am as I felt as if I had gotten my fill. It was a wonderful experience, though, and one I will probably never forget. You can tune into the live stream right here until #allmymovies is over, which should be around 9pm on Thursday night.

Ridley Scott Wants to Keep the ALIEN Franchise for Himself, New Films Will Lead to ALIEN 1

Ridley Scott will start shooting Alien: Paradise Lost, early next year. He recently brought in John Logan to help him polish up the script. Logan has worked on films such as Skyfall, Spectre and Gladiator. After that, he plans on making another sequel that will lead up to the first Alien film in the series.

As you know, Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 was put on hold, and it doesn't look like it will ever get made. Why? Because Scott is trying to keep the franchise to himself. In fact, he regrets letting the franchise get away from him in the first place. In an interview with IGN he said:

“I’m trying to keep this for myself. I let the other one [Alien] get away from me – I shouldn’t have… I’m trying to re-resurrect the beast and let it off the hook for a while because I’m coming back into the back-end of Alien 1. I’m gradually getting to Alien 1."

So it seems to me like Blomkamp’s desire to make Alien 5 lit a fire under Scott’s ass, and he doesn’t want anyone else touching his precious franchise. I guess he didn't like James Cameron swooping in and making the badass Aliens movie. Hopefully the sequels he’s working on aren't as disappointing as Prometheus. The director goes on to talk about his plans, saying:

“Prometheus 2 will start getting shot in February and I’ve already begun now so I know what the script is. Then there will be another one after that and then maybe we’ll back into Alien 1, as to why? Who would make such a dreadful thing?”

Alien: Paradise Lost is scheduled to hit screens in May of 2017. I’m curious to see how these upcoming films will connect directly to Alien. Do you think Scott is being stingy by keeping the Alien franchise to himself? Are you excited about his planned sequels that will lead up to Alien?

For those of you who have been waiting for an official look at Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, you’re just going to have to wait because it won’t happen until you see the movie.

Thanks to artist and fan Adam Relf, however, we have a fan made illustration that includes Luke, and the art is so good it looks like it could be an actual poster for the movie.

According to TheForce.net, this piece was actually pitched to Disney/Lucasfilm at some point. I have no idea if that’s true or not, but if it is, they obviously didn’t want Luke anywhere on the marketing materials.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18th, 2015.

THE FORCE AWAKENS - The First Order Hates Luke Skywalker, New Character Details Revealed

Thanks to EW we have a ton of new information regarding Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Some of this info might be considered SPOILERS, so you might want to tread lightly. My outlook on it is if Lucasfilm allowed it to be released then it’s official information.

There was a decent amount of Star Wars news that was released yesterday. Just in case you missed out on any of that, click here. Below you will find some intriguing points of interest regarding certain characters and story points thanks to the cast and crew who worked on making the highly anticipated film.

Two things that were mentioned that I wanted to highlight are that Princess Leia is no longer referred to as a Princess. She's now General Leia. Then there's The First Order, who teach soldiers raised from childhood that Luke Skywalker is a villain. You can read all of the information provided by EW below:

Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher):

“She’s referred to as General,” director and co-writer J.J. Abrams tells the site. “But … there’s a moment in the movie where a character sort of slips and calls her ‘Princess.’…The stakes are pretty high in the story for her, so there’s not much goofing around where Leia’s concerned, but it felt historic to have her, especially with Harrison, back in scenes together. I can only imagine the baggage that they bring to it, I’m just a fan who loves this stuff, but they’ve been living with it — and living in it — since ’77.”

Rey (Daisy Ridley):

Rey was ditched on Jakku by her family when she was a child and has no idea why — or why they never returned. “She’s been alone for a long time,” Ridley says. "When something occurs when you’re 5, you know what went on but you don’t understand the reasoning. She's hopeful for what lies ahead, whether that involves the past or not." So why hasn’t abandonment made her bitter, angry, and… prone to the Dark Side? “Hope makes people good, a lot of the time,” Ridley says. “You hope for a brighter future, and resentment is outweighed.”
"Rey, Finn, and Kylo, they all start off in a place where they have been led to feel like they’re wanting," says Daisy Ridley. In this sequence, first seen in the Oct. 19 trailer, she is spelunking through the heart of a long-dead Star Destroyer. "She’s never sat around a table and had a meal with someone else. She works to feed herself, and she goes to sleep, and she gets up again. It is a sad life," Ridley adds. "The film, for Rey, is a journey of finding out that no one is no one."

Finn (John Boyega):

“It’s about looking for a greater purpose, rather than thinking, ‘This is the only thing I can do,’” Boyega says of his runaway stormtrooper. “He wants to change. He wants to make a difference. He’s trying to find some kind of moral dignity in this war.”

Han Solo (Harrison Ford):

Portrait of a smuggler as an older man. There's a lot more gray, but the same swagger. "It could have felt silly, but it didn’t," Harrison Ford says of getting back into Han Solo's familiar holster. Today, EW shares our sit-down interview with Ford at his hangar in Santa Monica, where he talks about why he's now glad no one listened to him about killing off the character. "Well, he’s been living with me. Out back, in the shack," Ford says with a laugh. "[Thirty-two] years is going to put some rings on the tree, some experience in the bank, and that’s really all I needed."

The First Order soldiers are raised to hate Luke Skywalker:

Boyega says soldiers raised from childhood to serve this remnant of the scattered Imperial forces are fed propaganda about the heroes of the Rebellion. Unlike Rey, he has learned a lot about Luke Skywalker — but he has been taught he was a villain who destroyed the benevolent Empire.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver):

Adam Driver says every villain has an internal battle. “When you break all of those things down, really it’s just because someone wasn’t loved enough or felt betrayed,” he says. “That’s what makes those movies so universal. I think they can get in your mind in big and sweeping ways.”

Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie):

“I wish I could say to you, 'Oh, but of course, the entire thing was designed specifically for me,'” says Gwendoline Christie. “If only that were true — if only!” It turns out, Captain Phasma was tailored just for her. The chrome-plated trooper originated as a design for Kylo Ren, but then J.J. Abrams was inspired to create a new character. “I just thought it would be really cool if we could find someone to play the part who was female, and I’m a fan of Game of Thrones; Gwendoline is in that show, [The Force Awakens casting director] Nina Gold casts it, she knew Gwendoline, obviously," he says. "We were very lucky to get to have her in the movie. She’s not in many scenes, but her presence is powerfully felt when she’s there.”

Female Stormtroopers:

Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma wasn't the only female in armor. "We had women in stormtrooper costumes in the movie," Abrams says, so audiences will be seeing a mixed gender fighting force from The First Order whether they realize it or not. (The armor isn't form-fitting, of course.)

Millennium Falcon:

The Millennium Falcon has gone through its share of maintenance over 30-plus years. The major alteration is obvious. “We decided to go with a rectangular radar dish instead of a circular one because it got knocked off at the end of Jedi,” says Gary Tomkins, senior art director for vehicles and spaceships (coolest job title ever.) "So we liked to imagine they replaced it with a more up-to-date one.”

There are so many other things that were talked about that I didn’t post. To read even more about Star Wars: The Force Awakensclick here.

Spider-Man Fan Film - SPIDER-MAN LIVES: A MILES MORALES STORY

If you're a fan of Spider-Man, specifically the Miles Morales version of the web-slinger, then you should enjoy this fan film that was written and directed by Ivan Kander. The short is called "Spider-Man Lives: A Miles Morales Story," and it's a solid film that gives us an idea of what a live-action version of the character might be like.

In the wake of Peter Parker's death, will Miles Morales find the courage to put on the mask and become Spider-Man?

There's been speculation and rumors about Miles Morales possibly being included in Marvel and Sony's upcoming solo Spider-Man movie. There's no official confirmation on that, but it would be interesting if that were the case.

While we wait to see if that turns out to be true or not, this fan does a great job bringing this character to life. It really nails the characters personality. They even had some fun with the closing credits of the film, and make sure to watch all the way to the end because there's a post-credits scene!

Peyton Reed on Fully Realizing The Wasp in ANT-MAN AND THE WASP

Marvel’s Ant-Man was an incredibly fun movie, and one of the most exciting parts of it came at the very end when Hope Van Dyne was introduced to The Wasp suit that her dad had been working on. That was a big launching point for her character, and I can’t wait to see how that character grows in the MCU as these films move forward.

During an interview with Yahoo, director Peyton Reed talked about the sequel's title, Ant-Man and The Wasp, and how this sequel will fully realize this character:

“It just happened to be organic for the characters of Ant-Man and Wasp, [so] it worked. Her last line in the movie — ‘It’s about damn time’ — [is] very much about her specific character and arc in that movie, but it is absolutely about a larger thing. It’s about damn time: We’re going to have a fully realized, very very complicated hero in the next movie who happens to be a woman.”

I’ve been a fan of The Wasp for a long time, so I couldn’t be more excited to where these upcoming films take her. When talking about the appeal of coming back to direct the sequel, Reed said:

“I think one of the appealing things about coming back for a sequel is to be able to build it from the ground up this time. Also, [there’s] stuff that we clearly set up in the first movie that we want to pay off and have fun with in the second movie. Since we know [the characters’] origins, we can go in some weird, unique and different territory.”

That’s one of the things that I loved about Ant-Man the most. It was weirder than the rest of the Marvel film, up until thid point. It touched on some very different aspects of the Marvel universe, and it will be cool to see Reed and the studio play with all of that stuff even more in this next adventure.

Ant-Man and the Wasp hits theaters on July 5th, 2018.

15-Minutes of R-Rated Battle Scenes from THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES

As you know, the upcoming release of the Extended Edition of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was slapped with an R-rating. Today we have 15-minutes of newly added footage for the film for you to watch that helped up its rating to "R." As you'll see, the blood factor has been increased considerably.

Oh! And remember that cowardly jack-ass Alfrid? Well, now you get to see what happened to that guy after he escaped with the gold. His fate isn't pretty. That scene happens near the end of the video clip.

The video footage was posted by YouTube user Joshalots, and unfortunately, the frame and bit rate isn't the greatest. It's still entertaining to watch, though, because the whole thing is part of the epic end battle sequence. I thought there was some really great stuff here, so I hope you enjoy the footage!

Simon Kinberg Teases X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Character Arcs and Comic References

Thanks to producer Simon Kinberg, we have some more details regarding director Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. One piece of information you might be interested in know is that the first trailer for the film will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, so we won’t have to wait much longer for that.

Singer completed production on X-Men: Apocalypse back in August, and he’s been deep in the post-production process since then. In an interview with Collider, Kinberg offered an update on the film's development, saying that he’s “super happy” with how the editing is going. He also reiterates that this next X-Men film will be the biggest one yet.

X-Men: Apocalypse serves as the finale of a trilogy that began with X-Men: First Class and it will also kick off a new era of X-Men films. Kinberg says:

"I’m super happy with it. We are in the edit working on it, working on the first cut of the film. But it’s really exciting. I’ve said this before and I feel it even more having seen the movie cut together: I do think it will be the biggest of the X-Men films just in terms of the scale and the scope of the movie, and even more the emotional stakes and scope of the film. It has a level of drama and emotion, for all of the characters—I think going into it I assumed this would be the culmination in many ways of this little trilogy we were telling for young Erik, Charles, Mystique, and Beast but I think what was surprising over the span of photography and now into post as well is just how resonant the young Jean, Scott, and Storm stories are too. So I think the movie feels very balanced between—I don’t wanna call them the older generation because they were the younger generation, but the generation of the X-Men from the last few films and the new generation.”

Kinberg went on to say that comic book fans can expect “as much or more references to things from the comics than any X-Men film that’s come before.” The site singles out Quicksilver and his parents. That character is involved in “an arc that’s much more emotionally complex: his relationship with his father.” In the comics, Magneto is Quicksilver’s dad, and Kinberg confirmed that that’s the direction they are taking the film:

“It’s something that we allude to very vaguely in Days of Future Past when he says, ‘My mom knew a guy who could control metal’ and [Michael] Fassbender gives him that look, all of which is meant to indicate that it’s his father. It’s a part of the film and I think it’s a really emotional, really important part of the movie.”

Kinberg then addresses Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, who, according to the official synopsis, is helping lead the X-Men. When asked about her leadership role in the story, he says:

“I think the movie explores her struggle, which is sort of the result of Days of Future Past. If you think about the end of Days of Future Past, in front of the entire world she stops Magneto and saves the President and cabinet, and so this movie certainly explores 10 years later what it is to wear the mantle of that responsibility.”

I’m really happy with how the story arc for Mystique has played out over the course of these past two movies, and I’m excited to see how it concludes with Apocalypse.

I loved the footage that was screened at Comic-Con this past summer, and I can't wait to see how this upcoming trailer plays out. I’m sure fans of the franchise are going to freakin’ flip for it. X-Men: Apocalypse will be released on May 27th, 2016. Here's the official synopsis for the film:

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

Lucasfilm has released a new TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It's very brief and it's light on new footage, which will make some people happy. I know I've seen enough footage from the film already and I don't need to see any more. But more footage is coming, and of course I have to watch it because it's my job!

If this TV spot isn't enough for you, don't forget that tonight ABC will air a "special look" at the film that will offer fans even more footage and information about the movie. It will start at 8pm, and I imagine it will be released online shortly after.

Vague GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot Logline Reveals Team Details

We know that Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones will be hunting down and busting ghosts in Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot. We just haven't really had a lot of official information about the main thrust of the film's story. Thanks to Den of Geek, we have a little bit of vague info to share with you from the official logline for the movie. It reads:

"With paranormal activity on the rise, a Columbia University academic, her ghost-chasing friend, the friend’s business partner, and an MTA employee join forces to bust ghosts and save New York."

Like I said, it's vague, but it's the closest thing we have to an official synopsis so far about how this team of Ghostbusters comes together. I'm curious to see what this film has to offer fans and audiences. Like a lot of other fans, I'm not really thrilled about it, but we'll see how people feel after the first footage is released. That's going to be the true test. Hopefully, Feig will impress.

Ghostbusters will be released on July 15th, 2016. To read through all of our previously posted Ghostbusters news, click here.

5 Disney Movies That Recycled Animated Footage

$

To save money and time, Disney animators sometimes had to recycle certain footage that was already used in previous films. Screen Rant has compiled a video list together showing us some of these recycled scenes. The movies presented here include Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, The Sword in the Stone, Winnie the Pooh, and Beauty and the Beast

The video offers us a side-by-side comparison of the footage in question, and it's really interesting to see how much of the same animation was actually recycled. Some of the scenes were actually copied shot-for-shot!

Disney may be a major studio, but it started small, which meant its animators had to bring people, animals, and magical creatures to life better than any one. When they did just that - and didn't have the budget to bankroll million-dollar movies - the animators decided NOT to start from scratch. Instead, they traced over animation that had already been released. And if you think it's just a case of copying a handful of frames, we've got a surprise for you! Here are Screen Rant's Recycled Movie Scenes In Disney Films.

TRANSPARENT Actress Conjures Up a Role in Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE

I still haven't made the time to watch Amazon's award-winning streaming series Transparent, but it looks like some people at Marvel Studios have. The Wrap reports that actress Amy Landecker, who plays oldest sibling Sarah Pfefferman on the show, has joined the cast of Doctor Strange in an undisclosed role.

We know that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon whose hands are badly damaged in an accident, leading him to learn the arts of magic and eventually become the Sorcerer Supreme. Chiwetel Ejiofor is playing Baron Mordo, Tilda Swinton is playing The Ancient One, Michael Stuhlbarg may play Nicodemus West, and Rachel McAdams is playing Christine Palmer (aka Night Nurse). I haven't read any Doctor Strange comics, so I'm not familiar enough with the lore to be able to speculate about who Landecker could be playing, but I'm sure some of you have some theories of your own to put forward in the comments. Maybe she'll be Clea, the Sorceress Surpreme, since that role was once rumored to be taken by McAdams? We'll find out soon enough.

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 6th, 2016. Click here to see some recent videos and photos taken on the movie's set.

Major Female Villain Will Reportedly Appear in THOR: RAGNAROK

Thor: Ragnarok is shaping up to be the most epic Thor movie yet. We know that The Hulk will be involved with the story and that the two characters will mostly likely get into another fight. There have also been rumors that Valkyrie could make her big screen debut. It's been said that Marvel is "looking to cast some great women in this movie."

Now Lainey Gossip is claiming to have heard that Marvel Studios will include a major female villain in the film. It would make complete sense if they did. There are some great female villains in the Thor universe. The site says:

"If Valkyrie is really coming to the big screen, that will make two high-profile female roles being cast in Ragnarok, because I have heard that Marvel is also planning on bringing their first major female villain into their cinematic universe. I don’t know who the character is for sure, but there are a couple likely candidates from Asgard: Amora the Enchantress, a sorceress; or Hela, Queen of the Dead (and also Loki’s daughter but that won’t necessarily be the case if Hela does indeed get the cinematic treatment)."

Hell, it could end up being both! The reason I say that is because Enchantress and Hela both appeared in the Hulk Vs. Thor animated movie, and Thor: Ragnarok is being written by Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, who co-wrote Hulk Vs. Thor.

maxresdefault.jpg
Hela_Thor_Almost_Fight_HVT.jpg

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Enchantress, and if they had to choose one of those characters, I hope it's her. If that's the case I can't wait to see who they'd cast. I'd love to see Margot Robbie in the role, but as you know, she's playing around in the DC Universe as Harley Quinn.

Taika Waititi is set to direct and the film is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 3rd, 2017. For additional information on Thor: Ragnarok, click here.

Watch: Cast of WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY Celebrates Film's 44th Anniversary

Remember the first time you saw Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? When you saw Gene Wilder's Wonka slowly walk down that walkway, lose his cane, and roll forward into a somersault, transforming before our eyes into the whimsical character we know and love? It's a film full of fun, iconic moments like that, and it still puts a smile on people's faces to this day. This year marks the film's 44th anniversary, and while you'd expect a retrospective maybe at the 50 year mark (or at least the 45th), The Today Show and NBC managed to get an interview with some of the cast members while they were attending a convention in Orlando, Florida.

Unfortunately, Wilder himself wasn't present at the festivities, but the actors who played Charlie Bucket, Veruca Salt, Mike Teavee, Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, and Wonka's head Oompa Loompa were. Check out the interview below:

New Poster and Featurette For THE BIG SHORT, Starring Bale, Carell, Gosling, and Pitt

Adam McKay's new financial comedy/drama The Big Short has its world premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater at AFI FEST tonight, and I'll be there to check it out. I should have a review up on GeekTyrant sometime tomorrow, but in the meantime, Paramount has sent over a brand new poster for the film that shows off stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt. I'm not a fan of most studio posters these days, but at least it looks like they put a little bit of effort into doing something dynamic with this one instead of making just another boring floating head poster.

The studio also sent over a new featurette that features interviews with Bale, Carell, Gosling, and McKay talking about the director's passion for the subject matter, which, as Gosling says, he's outraged about but also seems to be able to retain a sense of humor about it at the same time.

The Big Short opens in theaters on December 11th.

When four outsiders saw what the big banks, media and government refused to, the global collapse of the economy, they had an idea: The Big Short. Their bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. Based on the true story and best-selling book by Michael Lewis (The Blind Side, Moneyball), and directed by Adam Mckay (Anchorman, Step Brothers) The Big Short stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt.

The full trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been given an amusing upgrade with the addition of Charlie Day's hilarious "Dayman" song from It's Always Sunny in Philadephia. I love how well the song matches up with the footage from the trailer. This song was introduced to the world in the fourth season of It's Always Sunny, in an episode called "The Nightman Cometh."

This isn't the first big trailer that we've seen mashed together with this song. In case you missed the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice version, you need to check it out here.
