The team at Dorkly is back with a funny new video that reveals the identity of Batman's greatest villain. You'll never guess who's been behind the scenes pulling the strings of The Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, and the rest of the Rogues' Gallery for all of these years...

BURNT Trailer: Bradley Cooper is The Luke Skywalker of Cooking

0
0

The Weinstein Company has just released the second trailer for the cooking drama Burnt, and while the first trailer was incredibly serious and made being a chef sound like the most important thing anyone could ever do in life, this one is thankfully a little more lighthearted.

Bradley Cooper stars as Adam Jones, a burn-out chef who's trying to get back in the game and create the world's greatest restaurant. John Wells directs, and it co-stars Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Bruhl, Alicia Vikander, and Emma Thompson. I'm curious about what you all think about this trailer — the movie isn't exactly "geeky," but it does feature a great cast, so I wonder if you care about this one or if you're planning on skipping it altogether. Let me know in the comments.

Burnt opens in theaters on October 23rd.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Furiosa and Princess Peach Cosplay Mashup - Imperator Peachiosa

This is easily one of the coolest Mad Max: Fury Road cosplay mashups that I've seen so far. It combines Charlize Theron's character Furiosa with Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros. The named of the character is Imperator Peachiosa, and it comes from Emily Finke a.k.a. Seelix. The photos presented here were taken by Matthew Sperzel. I also included the artwork that inspired the cosplay at the very end of the post. I loved how this turned out, and if you're a cosplayer that would like to make a version of the costume of your own, click here for the process.

Watch: Go Behind The Masks in Music Documentary DAFT PUNK UNCHAINED

0
0

Daft Punk hit it big in the late 1990s and early 2000s with their unique brand of electronic music, but the band is arguably more popular today than ever. They composed the score for Tron: Legacy back in 2010 (clearly one of the best things about that film), and if you were within earshot of a radio a couple of years ago, you couldn't escape their massive hit "Get Lucky." So it's fitting that the time is right for a documentary about the French duo called Daft Punk Unchained, which has just debuted its first trailer. Check it out below, and read all about it in the official synopsis:

The first ever documentary film on the most secretive duo in the world. The epic story of two uncompromising artists. With the participation of their closest collaborators and friends from Pharrell Williams to Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Kanye West, Michel Gondry, Paul Williams, Peter Lindbergh, Leiji Matsumoto and Pete Tong.

Daft Punk Unchained, directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, is the first independent film which explores an exceptional pop culture phenomenon of the last twenty years: Daft Punk. Between fiction and reality, magic and secrets, theatricality and humility, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have created a unique artistic universe. Throughout their career they have remained determined to control every link in the chain of their creative work. The film highlights key moments of their story, from their first school band in Paris to their historic concert at Coachella festival in 2006 and their spectacular triumph at the 2014 Grammy Awards for the album « Random Access Memories ». In an era of globalisation and the expansion of social media, they have refused to show their own faces and they orchestrate every detail of their appearances as robots. The documentary includes archives of radio interviews with Daft Punk, rare footage and exclusive interviews with their friends and close collaborators from Pharrell Williams to Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Kanye West, Michel Gondry, Paul Williams, Peter Lindbergh, Leiji Matsumoto and Pete Tong.

Fan-Made Trailer For SPIDER-GWEN Starring Emma Stone

Spider-Gwen has become insanely popular since she was first introduced in the Marvel Universe. It has been speculated that Marvel could eventually develop a Spider-Gwen movie with Sony. The character has such a huge fanbase and it would be stupid not to eventually make a movie somewhere down the line.

New York Magazine has put together an incredibly fun fan trailer giving us an idea of what a Spider-Gwen movie could look like.

Superhero movies are, for the most part, a boys' club. So we envisioned a new Marvel movie starring a woman: "Spider-Gwen," based on the popular comics series that imagines Peter Parker's girlfriend getting spider-powers instead of him. Emma Stone would star, of course.

The video was created by Andrew Coulombe, and he uses footage of Stone from films such as Amazing Spider-Man and Birdman. He also uses footage of cosplayer Julianne Cancalosi for the scenes that feature Spider-Gwen in costume. It turned out to be pretty fun!

MANIAC COP Remake Finds Director in UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING's John Hyams

A couple of years ago, word came out that Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn would be producing a prequel to William Lustig's 1988 exploitation film Maniac Cop. Development has been quiet in the meantime, but now the project — which is no longer a prequel and now looks to be a straight-up remake — has finally found a director.

Twitch reports that Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning director John Hyams will direct the movie, and Hyams confirmed the news to them in a DM, which you can see here:

With Eisner Award-winning comic writer Brubaker on script duties and the genre-loving Refn producing, this might be one of the rare remakes that overshadows the original. Hyams has only directed a few movies, but Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning is beloved by fans of the UniSol franchise (I saw it and was mostly baffled at what the hell was happening, aside from a few nicely done action sequences), so maybe he'll bring the same energetic insanity to this remake.

Also worth noting: this movie is going to be a lot more resonant now than it would have been a few years ago, considering the recent actions of some of the police departments in this country. Whereas it may have flown a little under the radar back in 2012, I'm guessing a lot of eyes will be on this one if it actually gets made any time soon.

Here's the trailer for the original movie (which featured Bruce Campbell in a small role), and then the trailer for Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning below that to get an idea of Hyams' style:

Rock Out With This Working Electric Guitar Made of LEGO Pieces

Last week over at GameTyrant, Joey wrote about a Game Boy-inspired instrument that doubled as a working electric guitar and a playable Game Boy. Sort of along those lines, here's a functioning electric guitar with a body made completely out of LEGO pieces with no wood support at all. It'd be essentially impossible to create a usable neck out of LEGO, so creator Nicola Pavan used a normal neck and only a few pieces of glue around the screws to hold it together. Nicely done!

If you're into this kind of thing, check out an R2-D2-inspired guitar we wrote about here.

Idris Elba Calls His STAR TREK BEYOND Villain "Groundbreaking For The Franchise"

0
0

Taking a page from J.J. Abrams' playbook, Star Trek Beyond director Justin Lin has been very quiet about what exactly we'll see when the movie arrives in theaters next year, saying simply that the movie will explore "whole new worlds and species" and won't rely on series staples like the Klingons and Romulans. One of the most mysterious elements of the movie is its villain, played by Idris Elba. We're still not sure who he is, what he wants, what species he is, or why he faces off against Chris Pine's Captain Kirk and crew, but Elba recently spoke with MTV and teased the "groundbreaking" nature of his character:

“Simon [Pegg] and the team have written a very interesting, complex journey for my character. You’ve never seen me play a character like this.”
“I think ’Star Trek’ has prided themselves as being quite classic when it comes to villains, like ’he’s a guy who wants to end the world,’ there’s no doubt about that. But in this version of the film, there’s a slightly different twist to that. It’s quite an interesting journey, which I think is groundbreaking for the franchise. But, it still keeps with the ’classic bad guy is a classic bad guy’ tone.”

We're still so far away from the movie's release that it's impossible to know what kind of twist he's talking about, but I'm excited about him playing a completely original character this time around and the movie (hopefully) not getting bogged down too much in its own past while paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of the franchise.

Star Trek Beyond blasts into theaters on its new release date of July 22nd, 2016.

Possible Directing Duos of FAST & FURIOUS 8, Ranked

0
0

Over the weekend, Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel gave an update on the franchise, saying the next three movies in the saga would be the final trilogy and promising that he'd "announce the directors on [his] next post." Directors...plural? Is that merely a typo and he intends on announcing the director (singular) of Furious 8 soon? Or does that mean he's going to announce three different directors for Furious 8, 9, and 10 all at once? I have no idea. But there's another way you could read that statement, and for the purposes of this (admittedly ridiculous) article, it's the interpretation I choose: Diesel is going to announce a directing duo who will co-direct the next movie (or maybe the next three). So sit back, crack open a Corona (salud, mi familia), and join me as I rank some of the possible directing duos of the new Fast & Furious movie(s) in order from least to most probable.

The Quay Brothers

The subjects of Christopher Nolan's new documentary, the Brothers Quay work in stop-motion animation and "find their inspiration in Eastern European literature and classical music and art." While it would undoubtedly be entertaining to see a Fast movie created solely using stop-motion influenced by classical art, it seems, well, extraordinarily unlikely that Universal would choose to take the franchise in that direction.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 0%

The Coen Brothers

Let's go ahead and get this one out of the way. Though Joel and Ethan Coen have been known to occasionally step into more traditionally mainstream moviemaking outside of their own projects (they co-wrote Unbroken and Spielberg's upcoming Bridge of Spies, for example), I can't quite see them suddenly deciding to take a hard turn into big budget action filmmaking.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 5%

Jay & Mark Duplass

Here's another pairing that, if chosen, would probably completely change what this franchise is known for. They also like using loose outlines and improv on their sets, and no offense to the Fast actors, but I don't exactly see that working out very well in this case.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 7%

Peter & Bobby Farrelly

The directors of There's Something About Mary are no stranger to mainstream popcorn fare, but they've never handled action on this scale before. Still, they might be looking for a hit after the disappointing reaction to Dumb & Dumber To.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 12%

Phil Lord & Chris Miller

The guys behind the Jump Street franchise and The LEGO Movie would definitely be able to achieve the right sense of fun and spectacle, but since they're busy developing a Spider-Man spin-off and a Han Solo movie, scheduling would probably be too big of an obstacle to overcome.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 16%

Anthony & Joe Russo

Another big-time duo who might be a fun fit, except for the fact that they're directing Captain America: Civil War and the back-to-back Avengers: Infinity War movies. Bummer.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 16%

Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg

Do I want the Furious franchise in the hands of the guys behind American Reunion and Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay? Not particularly, but they'd probably be pretty cheap for the studio to get. Diesel probably wouldn't have much of a problem rolling over them on any creative ideas since he's the face of the franchise and one of its producers, so if the studio's looking for a director-for-hire team, this might be an option.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 31%

The Wachowskis

Now here's an interesting choice. The directors haven't had a hit in a long time, and I imagine WB is hesitant to give them any more money after the one-two punch of Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending, but if Universal swooped in and gave them a $200 million budget to play with, I can see this easily turning into one of the most fascinating films in the Furious saga.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 74%

The Hughes Brothers

Albert and Allen Hughes haven't directed a feature since 2010's The Book of Eli (though Albert came close with the still-in-development live-action Akira adaptation), but they're likely the kind of safe bet that Hollywood number crunchers love to use. They're not terrible filmmakers by any means, but I can't help but think there's a more inspiring choice out there.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 87%

Neveldine/Taylor

I can see it now: the insane duo of Neveldine/Taylor on set in roller blades, whipping past cars with their tiny cameras going places we've never seen in a Fast movie. They'd absolutely bring the kind of insane energy this franchise needs, and after the ludicrous stunts of the last movie, Universal's going to need people who know how to kick it up a notch if they want to keep upping the ante. Bonus: they've already worked with Fast villain Jason Statham on the Crank films.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 93%

Chad Stahelski & David Leitch

Did you see John Wick? These guys are already masters of action choreography, so the hand-to-hand fights would undoubtedly look amazing. Just throw in some cars, and you've got yourself a hit. If that means John Wick 2 is delayed a little, so be it.

Fictional chances of directing Furious 8: 97%

I know there are plenty of other directing duos out there, so who would you like to see get in the driver's seat of this franchise? Let us know in the comments.

Any of you who are into horror movies, you might be interested to know that The Nerdist has made film called The Hive, and it's currently available to watch. The movie was directed by David Yarovesky and it stars Gabriel Basso, Kathryn Prescott, Jacob Zachar, and Gabrielle Walsh.

Those of you who know me know that I'll give almost any horror movie a shot. I love the horror genre! The movie got some decent reviews and it looks like an adrenaline-fueled horror flick that I'd enjoy! You can find the synopsis and the trailer for the film below.

At the height of summer, Adam and Katie find love for the first time. Fellow camp counselors Clark and Jess couldn’t care less about the kids they’re overseeing as long as they can hook up. But, when a plane crashes nearby, their investigation unleashes a mysterious plague, putting all campers in danger.
As Camp Yellow Jacket slips into chaos, Adam wakes in a boarded-up cabin with no memory of who or where he is. His only clues are the notes he’s scrawled for himself and memories that aren’t his own. As his friends turn into monsters around him, the key to surviving the apocalypse is locked in one infected counselor’s mind.
Uniquely shot with four different lens/palates to give each frame its own look, and set to the music of internationally renowned music producer Steve Aoki, Nerdist Presents The Hive is an event that sci-fi horror fans won’t want to miss!

You can now watch The Hive on iTunes and other digital platforms.

The 2-Part X-FILES Revival Trailer Has Hit the Internet!

“In 2002, my investigation ceased, but my personal obsession did not."

All right X-Files fans, a new trailer for the revival series has been released in two parts. It gives us out best look yet at what's in store for us! There's a lot of exciting stuff to see in the trailer, and it even includes confirmation of a character who was rumored to be coming back!

The series sees Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) teaming back up to help solve a mystery that Mulder has been working on, along with some of his other old friends. It's so cool to see all these characters coming back together again! I can't wait to see the ad mysteries and adventures that they confront in the upcoming six episodes.

The trailers that we have aren't the best quality, but they will have to do until we have better quality embeds. We'll update the post as soon as they become available. The X-Files returns January 24th, 2016 on FOX.

Thirteen years after the original series run, the next mind-bending chapter of THE X-FILES will be a thrilling, six-episode event series helmed by creator/executive producer Chris Carter, with stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re-inhabiting their roles as iconic FBI Agents FOX MULDER and DANA SCULLY. This marks the momentous return of the Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning pop culture phenomenon, which remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history. Production on THE X-FILES event series is set to begin in summer 2015.
THE X-FILES originally premiered in September 1993. Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows FBI special agents Scully (Anderson) and Mulder (Duchovny), as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena.

Batman Vs. Batman - What Actor Played the Hero Best?

0
0

Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of different actors take on the role of the Batman in movies and TV shows. Screen Rant has released a video that breaks down a few actors who have played the Dark Knight over the years. The video is called "Batman Vs. Batman: Which Actor Played Him Best?" and the actors mention in the video aree Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Kevin Conroy. Conroy is definitely my top pick. Here’s the note that came along with the video:

People used to say comic books were just for kids, but these days, playing a superhero on the big screen is an actor’s fastest way to superstardom. There aren’t many heroes more beloved than Batman, set to go from a movie superhero to a Justice League universe star.. But not every actor to put on Batman’s cowl ended up a hit – and one of the most influential men to tackle the role never appeared on film at all. Everyone has their favorites so make sure you let us know yours in the comments below! Here is Screen Rant’s look at Batman: The Actors Who Played Him Best.

Which actor is your favorite version of the Dark Knight?

DUNCAN JONES Is Fighting to Make His Passion Project MUTE

0
0

Director Duncan Jones has been very vocal about getting his passion project Mute into development. It’s the film that he wanted to make after he was done with Warcraft. Well, Warcraft is complete, and in a recent tweet he gives a brief update on Mute, saying that he’s “fightingly like a nut to make it happen.”

Jones has been working on this project since before Moon was even released. It good to hear that there’s progress, even though it’s moving so slowly. The concept has been compared to Blade Runner and the story follows a "woman whose disappearance causes a mystery for her partner, a mute bartender. When she disappears, he has to go up against the city's gangsters." Talking about the project years ago, he offered the following information:

“There's a couple of villains in there which I'm really excited about. They're so different than anything you've seen. I hope I get the chance to make the film because they're going to be very unique, you're not going to have seen anyone like these two guys before...
“No aliens, nothing like that. It's a very human story, it's about normal, normal people having to live in this future city. Science fiction is more of a backdrop, in some ways, than you might expect. But I like that, because ... if you allow [science fiction] to be in the backdrop and not be what it's all about, then the humanity is what you're really concentrating on and looking at. You see why people are the way they are , and how they've maintained their humanity in these science-fiction settings. Or the opposite, why their humanity starts to be eroded. When they started to lose their humanity because of the world that they live in, and that's what this film is going to be about.”

The story is also supposedly set in the same world as Moon. I really hope that Jones is actually going to able to get this thing off the ground. It sounds like it will be a great movie, so we're rooting for it!

DUNE Character Art Inspired by the Style of Director Tarsem Singh

0
0

Matt Rhodes, who is the lead concept artist at Bioware, has created an awesome series of art featuring the characters of the classic novel Dune. He did it in the style of director Tarsem Singh (The Fall, Immortals). His goal was to create “visual storytelling cranked to eleven.” Here’s a note from the artist:

"Some context: I fell into a Dune-hole recently which started by stumbling across the INCREDIBLE art from what would have been Jodorowsky’s Dune film. That inspired me to re-watch the David Lynch movie again (one of my favorites). At that point, I had to read the book again. In the middle of my read-through, I watched a couple Tarsem Singh movies and my brain made a connection that I couldn’t shake loose:
"I want a 4 hour Dune movie designed by Tarsem Singh’s crew (production designer, art director, costume designer, cinematographer, etc…)
"So, in order to get that thought out of my brain, I took a clumsy swing at designing the cast of Dune through the lens of Tarsem Singh’s crew. To me, that meant making each character an operatic or theatrical expression of their role in the story."

Each illustration features a group of characters that are organized by location. I’ve included information on each of the characters that was provided by the artist. I absolutely love how this turned out, and now I would love to see an animated version of Dune directed by Singh!

Arrakis
To design the Fremen is to design the Stillsuit. To me, they were done perfectly in the David Lynch film, so I wanted to try to make a different statement. Fremen don’t care that they smell awful, they accept the realities of their lives, so I wanted to design a suit that didn’t shy away from its vulgar processes. It’s designed to process piss, shit and sweat into drinkable water. Seeing a person in their stillsuit should almost feel like seeing them naked.
Stilgar – Sturdy, reliable, and pretty much a surrogate father to Paul.
Muad’Dib – I kept it simple. His outfit is just a stillsuit and the red wing cape of the Atreides.
Chani – Just draping the stillsuit with something asymmetrical and soft.
Alia – She wears little red Atreides wings and a Gom Jabbar.
Great Mother Jessica – Her Bene Gesserit mane is exaggerated in a fabric crest. She holds the water of life in a bottle that isn’t meant to be put down.
dune-art-inspired-by-the-style-of-director-tarsem-singh2
Antagonists
Feyd-Rautha – His build reflects his regular gladiatorial training. I wanted the Harkonnen’s to look like they hung around in their robes all day. I also gave them a consistent jewelry motif that was part viper-pit, part “plans within plans within plans” like a diagram of nefarious connections.
The Beast Rabban – He’s an animal, even less restrained than the Baron. You can see that it’s only a matter of time before he competes with the Baron for sheer scale. He’s adorned himself with cruel trinkets, and what may have once been luxurious furs have become rank tatters through neglect and abuse.
The Baron Vladimir Harkonnen – …yup.
Piter De Vris – Like Thufir Hawat, Piter keeps his Juice of Sahpo within regular sipping distance. His “rig” is built up into a flimsy collar, meant to look arrogant and hint at his aspirations to rule.
Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV – His royal armor is designed to reflect his paranoia (the same paranoia that inspired him to us the Harkonnens to crush the Atreides). Physical descriptions compare him to Duke Leto, so I wanted him to look like a lesser version of the Duke. His armor plates are all given to him by the various guilds and houses he rules.
Sardaukar – The Emperor’s elite soldiers. Their crests reflect the emperors, but are all built from reclaimed prison bars from their hellish prison-homeworld, Salusa Secondis. I wanted them to look completely opposite to the Fremen. They’re big, bulky, heavily armored. The glimpse of armor you can see was designed to look like it would react TERRIBLY to sand.
dune-art-inspired-by-the-style-of-director-tarsem-singh34
Caladan
I thought the Atreides on Caladan should look “water rich”. I wanted to design a visual language that looked like it was born out of generations of ruling a tropical paradise.
Dr. Yueh – The diamond mark of his conditioning becomes a mask, but it’s not %100 effective so it doesn’t cover one eye.
Thufir Hawat – The Juice of Sapho is held in a small vial near his mouth, always near him. He may once have fit his ceremonial armor better, but he’s no less dangerous.
Gurney Halleck – Patrick Stewart was perfect in this role, but in the book he’s described as being a pretty ugly guy. He has blades all over him, and his clothing is tied down tightly for sparring.
Paul – He wears the Atreides Hawke at his breast, with one “red wing” cape over his shoulder. He is dressed for life on his water-rich homeland.
Reverend Mother Helen Gaius Mohiam – She carries branching staff to represent diverging bloodlines. Her collar echoes the Emperor’s own crest. I wanted to design a motif for the Bene Gesserit with several meanings. Her hair is tonsured like a monk’s, but they wear a braided mohawk like a horses mane to make reference to their ongoing breeding program. They also wear fine chains connected to piercings from their eyes, ears and mouths. This is a visual representation of their constant focus on observation, listening and influence through speech.
Duke Leto – He is described as having a face like a bird of prey, so I exaggerated that. He wears the Atreides Hawke on his chest, with two red wing capes behind him.
The Lady Jessica – She has the Bene Gesserit hair (tonsured with a horses mane mowhawk) and piercings (connecting eyes, hears and mouth). She has a modified version of the Atreides Hawk crest, forming a more elegant cape.

Danny Boyle Says That TRAINSPOTTING 2 Will Shoot Early Next Year

0
0

A few weeks ago Danny Boyle did an interview saying that he hoped Trainspotting 2 would be his next film project. Well, it looks like got what he wanted. The director recently told THR that the film will shoot early next year!

Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller, Robert Carlyle, and Ewen Bremner are all set to return, but the film shoot will have to be tight because Miller and Carlyle have commitments to TV shows that they star in. Boyle says:

“They only get this little window off, so either you wait for the contract to run down, which could be as late as three years, or you kind of try and do it in this window, but all four lads are back in.”

So they are going to shoot the movie in the little window that they have, and that’s awesome! The filmmaker went on to talk about the budget for the film. The first movie cost $2 million to make, but this next one has a budget of almost $20 million.

“We’re doing it for less than $20 million, and that’ll give us control of the film so we can make the film we want to make. That’s as much as you can get without being answerable to anybody. You can sort of get on with it without much interference. Although we could have raised a lot more money for this, we didn’t, so we’re trying to keep some sense like we kept the original.”

The movie is inspired by the sequel novel by Irvine Welsh, which is called Porno. The sequel will not be called Porno, though. Boyle explains the film will be its own thing, and will not be like the book. The film was written by John Hodge, and all of the actors loved what he did with it, so they jumped on board. They were all apprehensive at first because they didn’t want to let the fans down by making a shitty sequel. It doesn’t sound like that’s what we’re going to get, though. Boyle said:

“Everyone’s attitude is that it’ll be an honorable addition and an interesting addition to the original film. We’re very positive that we believe it can happen and it’s coming true.”

I’m happy to hear that the project is actually moving forward, and I can’t wait to see it! It will be interesting to see where life took these characters.

It's always fun watching people breathe fire, but have you ever seen it done in bullet time?! It's a completely different experience. Mitch Martinez filmed Mike Icon and Terry Lee Fields breathing giant fireballs in slow motion using a 48 DSLR bullet time camera array, RED Epic (120 fps), and GH4 (96 fps). There is no CG used here. The awesome beauty of fire breathing was all captured in camera. The video is called "Inferno," and I hope you enjoy it.

Stunningly Badass Full Trailer for Leonardo DiCaprio's THE REVENANT

stunningly-badass-full-trailer-for-leonardo-dicaprios-the-revenant

We have an insane full trailer for director Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s upcoming film The Revenant. This trailer is intense, breathtaking, stunning, exhilarating and completely badass. This is easily going to be one of the best movies that we see this year. There's been a lot of talk about how hard it was to shoot this movie, but whatever trials and tribulations that the cast and crew went through to make this movie, it looks like it paid off!

This movie is an adaptation of Michael Punke‘s 19th century-set western novel that tells the story of Hugh Glass, who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film. Glass is an injured fur trapper who’s robbed by two men and left for dead, but he escapes the deadly wilderness and embarks on a journey of revenge.

The movie also stars Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, and Domnhall Gleeson, and here's the synopsis:

Inspired by true events, THE REVENANT is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. Fan-Made STAR WARS Simulator Game DEATH STAR ATTACK

GeekTyrant reader Lewis Boadle sent us this cool Star Wars flash simulator game he created called Death Star Attack. This is a fan-made game that took Boadle six months to create. He calls it an "unofficial labor of love."

The attack on the Death Star in Star Wars during the Battle of Yavin is one of the most iconic movie battles ever for me, and it's always fun to relive while watching the movie, or to be a part of in the video games that have included it over the years.

Re-live the thrilling conclusion of the Battle of Yavin as you attack THE DEATH STAR! Take on waves of deadly Tie Fighters! Do you have the focus to recreate Luke Skywalker’s heroic Proton Torpedo skill-shot, and make your mark as an ACE REBEL PILOT?

We've seen a lot of Star Wars fan films and fan art over the years, but it's rare to see a fan-made game like this, which is why I had to post it here on the site. You can watch a video showing what the game looks like below, but if you actually want to play it CLICK HERE. A big thanks to Boadle for sending this in to us!

THE FLASH Season 2 Promo Trailer Gives Us Our First Look at Zoom

A new promo spot for The Flash Season 2 has been released, and this one gives us our first glimpse at the villain Zoom. Barry Allen and Jay Garrick will have to team up to stop him. The spot also includes a good amount of additional new footage that I'm sure fans of the series will want to see.

Following the defeat of Barry Allen’s arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom?

The Flash will premiere its second season on Tuesday, October 6th.
