Ron Perlman Opens Up About Del Toro's "F**ked Up" HELLBOY III Story

Fans of Hellboy are really hoping that one day Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman will team back up to bring us Hellboy III. This would be the last film to close out the trilogy. Perlman has really been pushing hard to get it to happen, but there's still no solid indication that it will.

During an interview with Empire, Perlman opened up a little be more about Hellboy, and what we would see in a third movie if it happened.

"I really feel as though I'm done with the character. I don't have a burning desire to put that shit on again. But Guillermo told me what the resolve of the trilogy would look like, in broad strokes, and it's such an amazingly theatrical, cinematic idea, that I found it essential that we do it. We were designed to be a trilogy, with a beginning, a middle and an end. We've only done two-thirds, so I feel that we're not really done until we finish it."

I love that he's willing to go through "that shit" to bring Del Toro's vision of this third film to life. He went on to say that the director's big idea for the finale is "fucked-up," and added:

“Holy shit, he's the beast of the Apocalypse. He has to take down civilisation. He has to. It's non-negotiable. That's the foundation for the story, and that's why I think it would be a shame if we don't do it.”

My head is seriously reeling with excitement right now regarding the possibilities of what this third movie could actually be. Perlman went on to say that Hellboy's offspring would also play a major part in the story, saying:

"I'll tell you this. The two twins: one would look like the mum and one would look like the dad. And one of them was going to be completely fucking corrupt, the other one angelic. Which one was which? Only Guillermo would make the fucked-up-looking one be the angel. So then that adds to the saga."

OK, can a studio please make this film already?! Seriously, there's really no question about it now, this movie has to be made. I don't want this to end up as one of those "greatest movies that never happened" projects. This would be epic! I'm looking at you, Legendary Pictures!

Check Out Pottery Barn's $4,000 Millennium Falcon Bed

Force Friday is bringing us all kinds of crazy Star Wars products! Hell, Lucasfilm and Disney even teamed up with Pottery Barn to give fans the opportunity to buy a Millennium Falcon-inspired bed! I would have freakin' loved to have one of these when I was a kid! Unfortunately, with a price tag of $4,000, it's only for the rich kids, or the parents willing to go into debt for their children's love of Star Wars

I do wish they would have made an adult-sized version of this bed for all of us grown-up fans that want a Millennium Falcon bed.

Selena Gomez Joins The Cast of NEIGHBORS 2

Former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez shocked some of her fans when she starred in Harmony Korine's controversial Spring Breakers a couple of years ago, and it seems she's continuing down the path of leaving her squeaky-clean image behind. E! reports that Gomez has joined the cast of Neighbors 2, the follow-up to the remarkably successful 2014 comedy, which they're claiming has the title Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (that title has yet to be confirmed by the studio).

Kick-Ass star Chloe Grace Moretz joined the cast a few months ago as a sorority sister. Gomez's addition to the cast was confirmed by paparazzi snapping photos of her on the film's Atlanta set, so while we don't have any official details about who she'll play, it's a safe bet that she's playing a fellow sorority member. No word yet on how returning players Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, and Zac Efron play in, but it seems likely it'll involve those three teaming up to take down the sorority using the same kind of crazy antics they used in the first film.

Chris Evans Confirms AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Appearance and Talks Contract Extension

During a recent interview with Collider, Chris Evans spoke about playing Captain America for Marvel and whether or not he would extended his contract with them if they wanted him to.

First of all, Evans confirmed that his current contract includes both Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 and Part 2. So you can expect him to show up in those. After that, his contract needs to be renegotiated, and it doesn't seem like he'd have any problems re-upping his contract with them. When asked about it, he said:

“Listen, if Marvel wants me they got me. I’ve never had such a relationship where you have such—I mean look at my resume, I’m used to being on set being like, ‘Ah is this movie gonna be terrible?’ Marvel just can’t stop making great movies, they do it in their sleep. It’s wonderful directors and producers and actors and scripts, and it’s like a playground as an actor.”

The guy is obviously having a great time making these films, and he loves working with these people. There have been a lot of rumors that Captain America: Civil War could be Evans' last film as Captain America, but that obviously isn't the case at all, which is great news! Evans then talked about his initial reluctance to take on the role of Captain America, saying:

“It’s so mind-boggling that I was so tentative in the beginning to jump onboard. What an asshole I would be if I hadn’t done this. I mean can you imagine? Kicking myself—I’d never forgive myself!”

Luckily he took the job. He's been a perfect Captain America, and it's seriously hard to imagine anyone else in the role. That goes for any of the actors who are playing Avengers! It's going to be so strange when the day comes where these actors will start being replaced. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy the entertainment that they offer.

Ridiculously Accurate Recreation of The Shire in MINECRAFT

Minecraft and The Lord of the Rings have always had one thing in common: they have both consumed an ungodly amount of hours of my life. I love both very dearly. So when I saw that Reddit user "Fornad" and his buddies over at ArdaCraft have spent the better part of a year painstakingly recreating The Shire in its entirety, I nearly went cuckoo for Minecraft-puffs! (That's a thing... right?)

The insane amount of detail and attention to accuracy is astounding. Many of my favorite Minecraft builds are those that make the world look more natural and complete. And what better way to show off your terraforming skills than to build the got-damned Shire?! I posted a trailer the team put together below. But if you'd like to jump on and check out this build yourself, ArdaCraft currently run a 150 player server. If you love really cool Minecraft builds, or The Lord of the Rings, you owe it to yourself to check this out!

Frank Marshall to Produce Horror Thriller CROPSEY Based On Killer Urban Legend

I'm not a huge horror movie fan, so I'm not tapped in to the culture of urban legends and things that go bump in the night. But I have heard about the legend of Cropsey, a summer camp employee who was disfigured by a horrible prank and took his revenge on the campers. It predates Jason Voorhees and the Friday the 13th franchise, gaining steam in New York in the '60s and '70s, and has been loosely adapted on film a few times before: 1981's The Burning (written by Bob Weinstein and current Paramount CEO Brad Grey), 1982's Madman, and the 2009 documentary Cropsey, which explores the origins of the urban legend before shifting to the subject of a child kidnapper.

Now the killer is rearing his ugly head once again. Variety reports that mega-producer Frank Marshall is developing a movie called Cropsey for DreamWorks. Richard Naing and Ian Goldberg will write the screenplay, which will center on a group of kids at a summer camp who encounter the local legend. The studio is looking to capture that Amblin' vibe of The Goonies and Gremlins, films that are often referenced in pitches but are rarely actually emulated when all is said and done. We'll see if Marshall can keep this one on track.

Chaos Reigns When GTA V Players Attempt To Stop The Game's Train

I play a lot of Grand Theft Auto V, and most of my online interactions are spent trying to avoid being killed by random players who target me for no reason whatsoever. But occasionally players will band together for noble goals, like in YouTuber Redmar Belle's video that shows players lining up ten different cars on the train tracks in an attempt to stop the game's train. Does it work? Watch and find out:

TRUE BLOOD Showrunner and Barry Sonnenfeld Will Guide Netflix's Lemony Snicket Series

Remember that cool trailer for Netflix's Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events? Even though the trailer ended up being fan-made, the show is still happening, and now Variety reports that former True Blood showrunner Mark Hudis is teaming with Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld to bring the show to life. Hudis will be the showrunner and executive produce, while Sonnenfeld will direct the first two episodes and also executive produce.

I saw the 2004 film when it came out and thought Jim Carrey was fun in his multiple supporting roles, but the movie didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Hopefully the Netflix show will resonate more with fans of the book series. Here's that fan-made teaser trailer I mentioned:

Catch Up With GOTHAM in Seven Minutes Before Season 2 Begins

Fox's second season of the Batman prequel series Gotham is scheduled to debut on September 21st, and the network has released a new video that briefly recaps the major events of the first season in the hopes of luring in more viewers.

I skipped this show because I heard horrible things about it, but there are a bunch of our readers who watch it (and a few of our writers, as well), so I figured this would be a good refresher for both those who stuck with the show all the way through its the first season and those, like me, who decided to pass on it altogether. The second season's trailers have admittedly made the show look a bit more exciting, but I still don't know if that's enough to get me to tune in. Where do you all stand on Gotham?

Promos For Neil Patrick Harris' BEST TIME EVER Variety Show

How I Met Your Mother has been off the air for a while now, so Neil Patrick Harris needs a new gig. The former Barney Stinson is hosting a new variety show for NBC called Best Time Ever, and some new promos for the show have hit the internet.

It basically looks like an excuse for NPH to prank his celebrity friends and put his song and dance skills to the test, and in this video he tries to make the case for why watching this show live is absolutely essential. I don't know how this is going to turn out — television history is littered with failed shows from otherwise successful people — but we'll see how it goes when the show debuts on September 15th.

Rose Byrne Can't Keep a Straight Face in SPY Blooper Reel

I think a lot of people didn't give Paul Feig's Spy a chance when it came out earlier this year, but that's a shame because it's absolutely hilarious. In fact, I said in my review that it's one of the best action comedies ever. Melissa McCarthy is genuinely good, Jason Statham stole the movie, and Rose Byrne continued to prove that she's a force to be reckoned with in the comedic world.

This new gag reel from the movie highlights how improv can collaborators off guard, because Byrne can't seem to keep a straight face here. This is decent, but what I really want to see is a thirty minute video of take after take of Statham's best scene in the movie, in which he lists impressive and ridiculous accomplishments of his spy character's career. Until a video like that surfaces (fingers crossed), check this out:

HARRY POTTER Actor Joining GAME OF THRONES For Season 6

$

Actor Freddie Stroma, who played Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter franchise and starred on the Lifetime breakout hit UnREAL earlier this summer, is heading to Westeros.

THR reports that Stroma has joined the cast of HBO's Game of Thrones and will play Samwell Tarley's younger brother Dickon in the show's sixth season. I'm only a couple of hundred pages into the fourth novel in George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, so I haven't come across this character yet myself, and he hasn't appeared in the show yet either, but apparently not much is revealed about him in the books.

The last we saw of Samwell Tarley, he was heading to Oldtown with Gilly and her baby to become a maester at Jon Snow's request, so I imagine they'll run into Dickon during their travels or maybe make a stop at Sam's childhood home, Horn Hill. It hasn't yet been revealed who is playing Randyll Tarley, Sam's father, but it's possible that Deadwood alum Ian McShane will portray that character since he's said to have a small but important role in the next season.

Video Tribute to Wes Craven, Master of Horror

RogerEbert.com's Nelson Carvajal has created this nice video tribute to horror filmmaker Wes Craven, who passed away four days ago. It showcases some of the director's most iconic imagery, while featuring voiceovers from the man himself exploring some of the experiences that shaped his worldview and what he wanted to accomplish in his career. He made movies that made a huge impact on millions of people, so I'd say mission accomplished. Rest in peace, Mr. Craven.

ARROW Season 4 Trailer Reels Oliver Back In

Arrow star Stephen Amell just shared the new trailer for the show's fourth season on his Facebook page, and if I watched the show, I'd imagine I'd be going crazy for it.

Season 4 --

Posted by Stephen Amell on Friday, September 4, 2015

But since I don't watch the show, all I can see are similarities to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. I know that's been a criticism that's been with the show since its very first trailer, but all the hinting about how a hero's existence escalation causes escalation and the fact that Neal McDonough's Damien Darhk sounds like a low-rent version of Ras Al Ghul (who, yes, I know is a character in this universe also) just strikes me — again as someone who doesn't watch — as a TV version of the Batman story, but with Green Arrow standing in for Batman.

Am I wrong? Does the show really stand on its own, or does it sort of feel that way to those of you who watch it?

3 New Images From THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE

Rovio and Sony Pictures released three new images from The Angry Birds Movie. In them, we get out first look at the green pig villains of the CG animated feature.

Jason Sudeikis will lead the cast as Red, who apparently has a temper. It also co-stars Josh Gad as Speedy Chuck, and Danny McBride as the volatile Bomb. They make up the lead trio of birds in the story.

The movie also stars Bill Hader as a pig, Maya Rudolph as Matilda, and Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle. Other cast members include Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Cristela Alonzo, Jillian Bell, Latin musician Romeo Santos, and Smosh YouTube stars Ian Andrew Hecox and Anthony Padilla.

When talking about the production, producer John Cohen (Despicable Me) says:

“The question Rovio gets more than anything is ‘Why are these birds so angry?’ This is the origin story for how that conflict came to exist between birds and little green piggies.”

Clay Kaytis is one of the directors on the project, and when talking about the character Red, he says:

“He’s a curmudgeon. We knew we had to find an actor who could say these things and still be charming, and that was Jason.”

Angry Birds is an insanely successful mobile game, but with this movie mirror that success? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Angry Birds Movie is set to debut in the US on July 1st, 2016.

One of Screen Junkies' most watched Honest Trailers was for Disney's animated film Frozen. They are shamelessly banking off the success of that with an Honest Trailer they put together for the short film Frozen Fever.

Remember Frozen? Disney does! Relive the kinda-sequel short film that was only made to capitalize on a massive success. Kind of like this Honest Trailer!

Funny New Trailer For THE NIGHT BEFORE with Gordon-Levitt, Rogen, and Mackie

A new theatrical trailer has been released for the hilarious-looking holiday comedy The Night Before. We saw a red-band trailer for the film about a month ago and this one isn't quite as vulgar, but it still delivers the comedic entertainment.

The movie has a great cast of actors that includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie, Lizzy Caplan, Jillian Bell, Michael Shannon, and Mindy Kaling.

From Jonathan Levine, the acclaimed director of 50/50, comes the new comedy The Night Before. Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.

The movie is set to be released on November 25th.
