Ghostface Sports His New Mask in New Trailer For MTV's SCREAM

ghostface-sports-his-new-mask-in-new-trailer-for-mtvs-scream

"By the time the first body is found, it’s only a matter of time before the bloodbath commences."

I've been a big fan and supporter of the Scream film franchise over the years. Unfortunately this MTV series looks like it's going to blow bloody chunks. The network released a new trailer for the show, and it includes the killer sporting his new ghostface mask, which in no way represents the iconic mask that audiences have come to associate with Scream. I'm not a fan of it, but judging from the online chatter, there are some people that do like it.

After a cyber-bullying incident results in a brutal murder, the shocking violence stirs up memories of a  killing spree from the past that has haunted some, intrigued others and maybe just inspired a new killer. A group of teens – with two old friends struggling to reconnect at its heart – become lovers, enemies, suspects, targets and victims of a killer who’s out for blood.

The pilot for Scream The TV Series was directed by Jamie Travis, and the show stars Bex Taylor-Klaus, Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Connor Weil, and Amadeus Serafini. It's set to premiere on June 30th. I'll give it shot when it is released, but I'm not expecting much. Here's the trailer.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: GODS AND MONSTERS CHRONICLES - "Twisted" Impressions

0
0

Episode 1 of Justice League: Gods And Monsters Chronicles debuted today exclusively on Machinima, the first of three. The spotlight is squarely on the Dark Knight, but this isn’t the Batman most are accustomed to. To be fair, neither is Harley Quinn. Armed with a more impactful version of her trademark hammer, she certainly packs a punch.

While we’re on the topic of Harley, I’m consistently amazed at how much information DC Animation can pack into a small amount of time. The first episode clocks in at around 5 minutes, and yet we find out a multitude of things about Harley. On top of the list is just how far gone she seems to be in this universe, evidenced by the disturbing collection being housed in her fridge. Points for the grape soda. (I prefer Orange Crush, though.)

Secondly, she must have recently robbed a Home Depot, since she not only has a sledgehammer, but also a chainsaw. Third, a bit of empathy sets in when Batman is confronted with Harley’s warped vision of family. Oh, and also...poor Grandma.

DC Animation in general is fantastic, and Gods And Monsters Chronicles is no different. The voice cast for this and the upcoming movie is stellar, and the more adult themes of the animated movies never feel shoehorned in or forced just for the sake of being "mature".

Make sure to tune in Wednesday on Machinima.com for episode 2, and check out some teaser images from Episode 2 and 3 below.

Marion Cotillard May Join Brad Pitt in Robert Zemeckis' WWII Spy Thriller

After she joins Michael Fassbender in Assassin's CreedMarion Cotillard may soon share the screen with another fellow actor worthy of her talents: Brad Pitt. According to THR, Cotillard is in negotiations to join Pitt in an untitled World War II spy thriller at Paramount set to be directed by Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Cast Away).

The story is being described as a "romantic drama" in which "Pitt and Cotillard as assassins who fall in love during a mission in Casablanca to kill a German ambassador. The duo marry, but domestic bliss is cut short when Pitt’s character, a French-Canadian, is informed his wife is a double agent working for the German government and he must kill her." Naturally, this is probably going to draw a lot of comparisons to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but with a script by Steven Knight (Locke, Eastern Promises, Peaky Blinders), I'm hoping this has a little more going on than that (admittedly fun) 2005 thriller.

For now I think the only thing that's keeping me from being flat-out excited about this is, strangely enough, Zemeckis' involvement. The man is responsible for some of the best movies ever made, but over the past fifteen years he's been seemingly obsessed with tinkering with motion capture technology and 3D (continuing in his upcoming The Walk), and though I liked Flight more than most people upon its release, that movie doesn't hold up very well. It's been a while since Zemeckis has made a truly great live-action film, and with leads like this and a strong script, it might be his time once again.

Link Acts Like A Total Douche in This Three Minute ZELDA Fan Film

I've somehow never heard of Source Filmmaker, a program that allows users the ability to create impressive animated short films using the Source game engine. But this short definitely got my attention. YouTuber Callegos-Y used the program (along with GIMP and Sony Vegas) to make an impressive three minute Zelda fan film, in which Link spends the entire run time acting like a total douche as he tries to obtain enough Rupees to buy a new shield. THE BOONDOCK SAINTS Gets A TV Prequel With Troy Duffy Writing and Directing

0
0

1999's The Boondock Saints has, perhaps deservedly, become the go-to example of a filmmaker trying to make a Tarantino-style action movie and failing to capture QT's inimitable flair for character, dialogue, and action. But the film earned a cult following through strong word of mouth (everyone was still raving about it when I was in college in the mid-2000s), and though writer/director Troy Duffy imploded (as chronicled in the documentary Overnight), he was eventually able to make a theatrical sequel with 2009's The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (which I thought was horrible). Despite all of the hate, Duffy undoubtedly hit a nerve with his foul-mouthed vigilante characters, and talks of a third film have been ongoing for years.

Now Deadline reports that Duffy will explore the origins of the Saints in a new TV prequel series for IM Global Television. He'll write the series and direct the first episode as he executive produces the show, and original stars Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flannery are in early talks to become co-executive producers. Though Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer series is a prequel that's bringing back the original cast to reprise their roles, it doesn't seem like that will be the case for The Boondock Saints. The story will follow the early days of the vigilante MacManus brothers as they grow up in South Boston.

“For years I’ve been obsessed with telling a real origin story with Boondock, and IM Global TV has stepped up,” Duffy said. “Television is the perfect medium to explore these controversial characters on a much deeper level and to bring Boondock Saints to a whole new audience.”
“Since its initial release more than 15 years ago, The Boondock Saints has become a true cultural phenomenon,” said IM Global TV president Mark Stern. “Troy is a consummate storyteller with a compelling vision for a series; the minute we heard it, we were hooked.”

Consummate storyteller? That's probably going a little bit too far, don't you think?

I'm interested to hear from you guys on this one. Are there any Boondock Saints fans left out there? Are you interested in a prequel without Reedus and Flannery in front of the camera?

7 Times Epic Video Game Box Art Wildly Overpromised

0

When I was growing up, the first thing I looked at before buying a video game was the box art. At the time it was the only real way to judge what a game might be like. If the box art was cool, I'd be more enticed to buy the game. I got burned a few times, but what can ya do! I would just grudgingly play the games feeling like I got ripped off because the box art was too cool. You can check out fifteen of my favorite pieces of NES box art here.

The YouTube channel outsidexbox created a video called "7 Times Epic Box Art Overpromised Wildly," and here's the description that came along with it:

Box art usually gives you an idea of what to expect from the game. But sometimes the box art is so ridiculously epic that no game could ever live up to it. Consider our seven favourites.

In the days before you had Metacritic and YouTube on your phone, you had to consider things such as box art when you were out buying games. Most of the time it gave you a pretty good idea what to expect, but consider these videogames whose epic box arts wrote cheques their actual gameplay couldn't cash.

For example, the cover for Saboteur 2: Avenging Angel is a ninja on a superbike fighting panthers with a katana in the middle of an explosion. There is no way that is not going to be the greatest game of all time, right?

Except that it came out in 1987, when moving gradually from one side of the screen to the other was considered the height of pulse-pounding action gameplay. There are panthers though! Sad, slow, non-threatening panthers. You’d be better off propping the box art in front of your screen and just looking at that, to be honest.

The one game on the list that I don't really agree with was Mega Man. In that case, the game was actually better than the box. Watch the video and let us know what you think of the choices.

DAREDEVIL Showrunner Marco J. Ramirez to Write AKIRA Script

The live-action adaptation of Akira that Warner Bros. has been developing for years is still alive and kicking. They just won't give up on the project regardless of all its issues! THR is reporting that the studio has hired Daredevil Season 2 showrunner and writer Marco J. Ramirez to write a new script for Akira. He was also a writer on the FX show Sons of Anarchy.

Judging from what Ramirez has done, he seems like he's a talented individual. I just don't know if WB knows what they want from this movie. If they did, it would have been done already. Andrew Lazar (American Sniper) and Leonardo DiCaprio’s shingle Appian Way are producing the adaptation, and it will be interesting to see if Ramirez will deliver a script that is to everyone's liking.

The film almost went into production with director Jaume Collet-Serra at the helm back in 2012. Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart, Ken Watanabe, and Helena Bonham Carter were all in various stages of talks at the time. It was the closest the film ever was to getting made, and the studio pulled the plug on the project due to issues involving casting, the script, and the budget.

I know it's possible to make an amazing live-action of Akira. I just don't think Warner Bros. is the studio that can effectively make it happen. The fact that it's been in a failed state of development after all these years proves that. Do you think Ramirez is the key to getting this production off the ground? Or do you think this is just going to be another failed attempt to make it happen?

Marvel Confirmed NOT to Have a Hall H Panel at Comic-Con

0
0

A few months ago, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn said that Marvel Studios would not be attending Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con this year. I hoped that it wouldn’t be true, and even wrote an open letter to the studio asking them not to leave the fans hanging this year with no panel. There’s just too much going on to leave us high and dry!

Deadline has confirmed that Marvel Studios will not have a panel in Hall H this year. The studio has always delivered awesomeness to the fans since the big announcement of Iron Man, and they never disappoint, except for this year. The report says:

With so many hit franchises in working order, Marvel’s Kevin Feige just doesn’t have anything new to show this year.

Which doesn’t make sense because they are deep in production on Captain America: Civil War, and by the time Comic-Con rolls around in July they would have plenty of footage to tease if they wanted to! Who knows? Maybe they are saving it for D23.

It does look like Warner Bros. is going to have big, epic panel at the event this year. The report goes on to say that WB will be “holding a significant presentation to introduce the Zack Snyder-directed Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, both of which reach theaters next year, followed by the Gal Gadot starrer Wonder Woman and Justice League, Part One, which arrive in 2017.”

I’m pretty bummed out that Marvel isn’t going to be doing anything, but I guess there’s always next year.

THE ESCAPISTS Breaks Out on PS4

With E3 right around the corner, a proverbial flood of gaming articles are almost here. But to kick off the last week before all that, I'd like to talk about an awesome little indie title that just came out on the PS4. Now I was asked to review The Escapists and the new Alcatraz DLC for the site, and normally I don't like to write reviews that game makers request. It often feels like cheating, and if I don't like it, I feel like I'm throwing it right back in their faces. But once I played this title, I couldn't NOT write about it. I'm absolutely hooked!

For those not familiar or who didn't play the game on Xbox One or Steam, much like myself, The Escapists is a puzzle RPG where you play an inmate planning an escape from a maximum security prison. It's a non-linear game where you pass each day doing favors for other inmates, performing your job to earn a little extra cash, and trying not to get shivved in the shower by the guy some other guy paid you to beat up with a bar of soap in a sock. The atmosphere is so weirdly charming that you sometimes forget you're actually playing a hardened criminal trying to survive incarceration.

The learning curve can be a little steep at first, but once you get the hang of it you feel like you're on the writing staff of The Shawshank Redemption, plotting all the ways you could bust out of prison. This mixed with the simplistic 16-bit SNES style graphics make it fairly hard to put down. And when you get that first successful breakout, you're so pumped full of adrenaline you pretty much go immediately into the next prison to see if you can get out even faster. It hits me with a feeling somewhat similar to back when I played Rollercoaster Tycoon all the time — having fun dicking around in an open-world environment while still keeping one eye on the overall goal. I lost hours just leveling up my character's ass-kicking abilities, simply because my first play-through I made the mistake of picking fights with everybody in the joint. (Pro-tip: Find the weakest guy and make him your target for pummeling. Somebody will be bound to offer you a job to beat the crap out of him, and it helps if he's easy to take down. And that is officially the scariest thing I've ever said in an article.)

To sum it up, I had an incredible time playing through The Escapists and the incredibly challenging Alcatraz DLC. This game's a great way to kick off the last week before E3 and is a definite must-own on the PS4! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go have my boy Punchy tattoo a new tear drop on me with a sewing needle and a ballpoint pen.

A U.S. School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Will Be Introduced in FANTASTIC BEASTS

a-us-school-of-witchcraft-and-wizardry-will-be-introduced-in-fantastic-beasts

As you know, Hogwarts isn’t the only school of witchcraft and wizardry in the Harry Potter universe. There are schools all over the world, and Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has revealed that there are eleven across the globe. Until now, we weren’t sure whether or not there was a school located in the United States, but now it looks like the name and location of the one in the U.S. will be revealed in the upcoming film trilogy Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The news was found at a Potter website called SnitchSeeker, which found the following tweets from Rowling about this intriguing development. Here are a few of them that offer us the teasing intel, which reveals that it will be relevant to Native-American Culture.

I’m especially curious to see how the school ties into the Native-American culture. That’s something that could prove to be incredibly fascinating.

Newt Scamander is the name of the main character in the story. The character will be played by Eddie Redmayne and is a“magizoologist” whose writings on magical creatures would go on to become required reading for Hogwarts students. The film will be set in New York City around the year 1920, which is about seventy years before the events of the Harry Potter series.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is being directed by Potter-alum David Yates, and the first film is set to be released on November 18th, 2016. The other two installments will hit theaters in 2018 and 2019.

Just in case you’re wondering about the other schools, here’s what Rowling revealed on Pottermore:

• Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Scotland)
• Beauxbatons Academy of Magic (France)
• Durmstrang Institute (Northern Europe)
• Mahoutokoro (Japan)
• Koldovstoretz (Russia)
• Uagadou School of Magic (Africa)
• An unnamed school in Brazil
• One in the United States to be revealed in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
• 3 other unnamed schools and locations (presumably outside of Europe since the first three listed were those mentioned as the main in that continent by Hermione Granger in Goblet of Fire)

Teens Play CONTRA on the NES and Completely Suck Ass at It

Contra was one of my favorite games to play on the classic Nintendo Entertainment System, and I was freakin’ good at it! I was able to play through it without dying once. A few years ago, I picked up an NES console and attempted to play Contra for the first time since I was a kid. It was then that I realized how hard it actually was to play. I couldn’t even make it past the second level! I lost my skills.

The YouTube channel REACT released a funny video in which a group of teens try to play through the first stage of Contra on the NES system, and they fail miserably. Anyone who grew up playing this classic game is going to get a kick out of this.

Story of Why George Costanza’s Fiancée Susan Was Killed on SEINFELD

story-behind-why-george-costanzas-fiance-susan-was-killed-on-seinfeld

Seinfeld is one of my favorite sitcoms of all time. It's one of those shows that I never get bored of. No matter how many times I watch these episodes of it, I still laugh. One of the most surprising and hilarious moments of the series is when George Costanza's fiancée, Susan, was killed off because the glue on the envelopes of their wedding invitations was toxic.

Turns out there were some behind the scenes issues going on that led to the character's demise. Jason Alexander was recently a guest on Howard Stern's morning radio show, and it was there he revealed that he found it very difficult to play off the actress who played Susan, Heidi Swedberg. He explains the situation below thanks to Uproxx:

“After every episode we’d all go out — not the guest cast — but the four of us and Larry would go out and have a bite to eat and we would just bitch about everything. And I kept saying ‘I’m going out of my mind, you guys. You’re killing me. I can’t understand how to play off of this girl. I’m sure that this stuff is not working — it can’t be!’ And they’re going ‘It works great, you don’t know what you’re talking about.’ I was the only actor doing scenes with her … and finally they do an episode where Elaine and Jerry have a lot of material with her, and they do the week and then we get to the restaurant afterwards and they go ‘You know what? It’s fucking impossible. It’s impossible!’ And Julia actually said ‘I know, don’t you just wanna kill her?’ And Larry went ‘Kabang!'”

Damn, that sounds harsh. What's interesting about this is that the fans thought the chemistry between the two characters was great. Maybe that awkwardness between the two added to the dynamic of the characters that we saw in the show.

Alexander later realized that what he said about Swedberg was pretty mean, and he felt awful about recalling that story. He explained on Twitter that it was more of an issue with himself:

I and the cast really liked and like Heidi. She is a kind, lovely person who undoubtedly worked really hard to create Susan and that character was clearly what Larry and Jerry wanted her to be for George. I just felt I was on uncertain ground in how to play off that character and I was always concerned that it wasn't working. And that's what I would voice concern about. But because the scenes were playing the way they were, the relationship with George and Susan sustained a whole season. People clearly liked the interplay even though I believed I was "off".

Larry and Jerry were not sure how that relationship would end. They didn't really want George married but all the alternatives seemed predictable. They were always looking for an inventive end to the engagement. So when the comment was made about "killing", no one was talking about the actress - they were talking about the character. And that made a creative lightbulb go off apparently.

But in telling this story, it sounds like we are putting a heavy burden on Heidi. I, personally, am not. Heidi would always ask if there was anything in the scenes she could do or if I had any thoughts. She was generous and gracious and I am so mad at myself for retelling this story in any way that would diminish her. If I had had more maturity or more security in my own work, I surely would have taken her query and possibly tried to adjust the scenes with her. She surely offered. But, I didn't have that maturity or security. And, Larry and Jerry would probably have killed me as it was all playing exactly as they wanted. Clearly Susan and George were coming off just the way they wanted.

I just thought that this was an interesting behind-the-scenes story. I love reading about behind-the-scenes stories of films and TV shows, and I thought any Seinfeld fans out there might enjoy this little bit of insight and drama. It also reveals that the show didn't really have any clear direction on where they wanted to take these characters. I think that's one of the reasons why the show was so great and unpredictable.

Bruce Timm Shares His Thoughts on Superhero Fans Complaining

0
0

Artist Bruce Timm has led the development of several of the beloved DC animated TV shows that many of us grew up watching. Some of these shows are Batman: The Animated Series, Superman, Batman Beyond, and Justice League.

As great as many of these shows are, some of the decisions that were made in bringing them to life didn't sit well with superhero and comic book fans at first. This is something that hasn't changed. Fans love to complain about stuff, especially when things change in the adaptation process from comics to the screen.

Timm understands this, and in an interview with Screen Rant he shares his thoughts about about being in the line of fire of all the complaining, and how he felt about it, saying:

"I’ve had some experience with this, with people being resistant to change. Back when we did the Justice League show, the first season, fans weren’t loving it. The second season they loved it. We fixed all the problems with the show. They were totally on board. And then we pulled the rug out from under them and changed the show completely. We added like 50-some odd new characters and called it Justice League Unlimited. No more two-part episodes. I knew the minute we did it that everybody was going to be freaking out.

"And I didn’t care. I figured they were going to watch the show anyways just so they’d have something to bitch about. And then, ultimately, they’ll love the show. We did the same thing with Batman Beyond. When we first mentioned, “Oh yeah, we’re going to do a futuristic teenage Batman,” those are three words that nobody ever wanted to hear in the same sentence. Again, everybody was really skeptical. But they ultimately embraced the show.

"I am as intrigued as anybody else [to see Suicide Squad’s Harley Quinn]. But, at the same time, I try to be impartial because I know I have more invested in it. And again, I’ve been on the other end, too. I mean we’ve taken characters that, in the comics, were really different and did something different with them in the animated shows. So I know what it’s like to take a character that you think is one thing and you make it something else.

"Our version of Mr. Freeze was something that nobody had ever really done… that’s now become like the default setting for Mr. Freeze. But with a character like Harley, I always just have to remind myself: 'Yeah, you know, I’ve taken liberties with other characters, so more power to them. They can do with that character whatever they want.' I just hope it’s good. That’s all I care about."

Timm makes a lot of solid points here. It's hard to argue with him, especially when he says, "I figured they were going to watch the show anyways just so they’d have something to bitch about. And then, ultimately, they’ll love the show." I myself have been guilty of that with a few things. It's funny to me how we fans can react to certain things. It's just a part of the geek culture and who we are. We can't help being passionate about the things we love!

His latest project is called Justice League: Gods and Monster Chronicles, which you can read more about here

First Trailer for THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY - PART 2

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to the 76th Hunger Games." The trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 has been released, and it give fans their first look at the big epic finale of the film series. Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) finally fully embraces her role in this war, and is ready to lead an army to the Capitol to go to war against President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in an attempt to right the wrongs that he has caused. Snow is ready for them though, and it looks like everyone is in for a world of hurt. This is an exciting trailer, and even though I'm not a huge fan of the franchise, I'm still looking forward to seeing how the story ends. With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 was directed by Francis Lawrence and it also stars Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson and Evan Ross. The film is set to be released on November 20th.

Official Synopsis For BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE

With all of the hype surrounding Suicide Squad at the moment, it feels like Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has already come and gone. Doesn't it feel like it's been in production for years already? We've heard a ton of rumors about the film and even seen a trailer, but now the studio has finally unveiled an official synopsis for the film in which America's two most iconic superheroes go head to head.

Collider is at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, and they have the first synopsis of the film:

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

No big surprises in there, and I have a feeling I know what that new threat is going to be — and it's not Lex Luthor. We'll eventually find out an excruciating nine months from now on March 26th, 2016.

Avengers-Themed Basketball Shoes From Adidas

Adidas has unveiled a line of retro 1990s-style basketball sneakers that were inspired by the heroes of the Avengers. The Iron Man style covers the Adidas Crazy 8, Captain America covers the Adidas Crazy 97, the Hulk takes over the Adidas T-Mac 1, and Thor is represented on the Adidas Real Deal. I guess Black Widow and Hawkeye are out of luck. As of right now, there are no details on pricing or a release date, but you can get a closer look at the shoe designs below.

This Is What THE SHINING Would Look Like If It Was Directed By David Lynch

There's something ineffable about Stanley Kubrick's The Shining, a bizarre, unsettling quality that permeates the entire film. Author Stephen King famously didn't approve of Kubrick's adaptation of his story, and I doubt he'd have approved this version, which explores what The Shining may have looked like if David Lynch had directed it. Lynch's films have a similar sense of unease to them, and they often don't play by the normal cinematic "rules" that are found in mainstream motion pictures.

Richard Vezina (via IndieWire) has created a frightening, surreal, nightmare-fueled vision of what might happen if the work of two of cinema's most singular personalities was smashed together. And at just over eight and a half minutes, this is much more than your typical one-joke mash-up. Check it out below:

New TV Spot For Marvel's ANT-MAN — "OK, I Got This!"

new-tv-spot-for-marvels-ant-man-ok-i-got-this

Marvel has released another TV spot for Ant-Man, which highlights some of the jokes and humor we'll be seeing in the film. As excited as I am about this movie, I do have to say that it doesn't seem to have the same feel or vibe as the other Marvel films that have been made. I think it's because it has more slapstick-type humor. That's not a bad thing, it's just different. It will be interesting to see this hero fit in with the Avengers team when he teams up with them in Captain America: Civil War. Ant-Man hits theaters on July 17th.

Take A Look Inside The Batmobile From BATMAN V SUPERMAN

We've already seen plenty of images of the exterior of the Batmobile that we'll watch the Dark Knight driving around in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Now thanks to Collider, we have some close-up shots of the car, along with some photos that give us out first look at the interior, and it's pretty freakin' cool. It also looks complicated as hell. I wonder where Batman keeps the Flux Capacitor.

The car is currently on display at the The Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, and here are the official specs surrounding the automotive beast:

Single-handedly designed and fabricated in near complete seclusion by The Batman, this infamous pursuit and capture vehicle has earned its reputation as the apex predator on the mean streets of Gotham City. Over powered with an unmatched hybrid of prototype military and civilian performance technologies, this top machine has been estimated to reach speeds of up to 205 MPH. The Batmobile’s imposing defense capabilities, supported by stolen Wayne Industries technologies, have been integrated with the latest in covert military grade armaments, stealth and active protection systems.

  • Twin .50 caliber retractable machine gun turret
  • Fully armored
  • Stealth-capable
  • Active Protection Systems/Anti-ballistics

Marvel and Netflix's A.K.A. JESSICA JONES Seems To Have A New Title

Krysten Ritter is set to star in Marvel's new Netflix streaming series leading up to The Defenders, but what we once thought was titled A.K.A. Jessica Jones seems to have been streamlined a little bit. As pointed out by Screencrush, if you search Netflix Instant for the show, right now you'll see a banner image with a logo that's dropped the A.K.A. from the title. In the search bar and on the page itself, the title shows up as simply Marvel's Jessica Jones. ComicBook.com claims they reached out to Marvel and the company confirmed the title change. So I guess the A.K.A. is no more.

Working as a private investigator in New York's Hell's Kitchen, a troubled ex-superhero's past comes back to haunt her in the live-action series, "Marvel’s Jessica Jones."

What do you think about the title change? Is this a case of "no big deal," or do you think it's a bad omen for the show to drop its comic book roots (the comic Jones appears in is called Alias, a word that means the same thing as "aka")? The show debuts sometime later this year, and stars Ritter, David Tennant, Mike Colter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, and more.
