We’ve got three new great clips to share with you for Pixar’s Inside Out. The first is called “Pizza,” and in it San Francisco is blamed for ruining pizza. The second is called “Riley’s Memory,” and it shows us how memories work. The third is called "Just Like Joy," and it focuses on Anger, Fear and Disgust struggling to deal with things while Joy and Sadness aren't around.

I think this movie is going to really hit home for audiences. As I’ve watched the clips and trailers that have been released, I can see parts of myself in the father character of the story. It’s not easy juggling so many different things, especially when you have kids. 

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions –Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

The movie was directed by Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up), and it opens in U.S. theaters on June 19th, 2015.

I’ve got a fantastic comedy short for you to watch called Ike Interviews God. Ike is a timid insurance clerk, and he is the world's only hope for survival. His mission is to convince God to halt the impending apocalypse. In the process, Ike finds that God is kind of a jerk. The short was written and directed by Eli Shapiro, and it’s wickedly funny. I especially enjoy the clever way it ended.

The classic video game character that we most of us love, Mega Man, is coming back to TV in the form of a new animated series. The show is being developed by Action Entertainment, and it has received an order of 26 episodes. This is the same company that created Disney’s Ben 10, Generator Rex and also worked on Big Hero 6.

The plan is for the show to be ready by 2017, which will be the 30th anniversary of the classic franchise. I’ve always been a fan of Mega Man, and I hope that they do it justice with this new series. There was another series that ran two-seasons from 1994 to 1995. It was ok, but it could have been a lot better.

Dentsu Entertainment USA has partnered with Man of Action Entertainment to develop a 26-episode animated series based on Capcom’s iconic video game franchise “Mega Man” for the global market, it was announced today by Yuichi Kinoshita, President and Chief Executive Officer, Dentsu Entertainment USA, Inc. Under terms of the deal, Dentsu Entertainment holds worldwide broadcast and licensing rights for all aspects of the new “Mega Man” TV series.

Dentsu handpicked Man of Action Entertainment, creators of Ben 10 and Generator Rex, to create, write and executive produce the all-new “Mega Man” animated series. Disney/Marvel’s Academy Award-winning feature Big Hero 6 utilized the characters and team created by Man of Action, the bi-coastal creative studio and writers’ collective formed by creators and acclaimed comic book writers Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle. Marvel called upon Man of Action to produce and write “Ultimate Spider-Man” and “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” for their successful launches on Disney XD. The new “Mega Man” series has a target air date of 2017, coinciding with the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to introduce an all-new ‘Mega Man’ to loyal fans and kids,” said Kinoshita, commenting on the deal. “Having a celebrated character from Japan reimagined by Man of Action is the ideal project for Dentsu Entertainment USA.”

Man of Action’s Rouleau said, “The 1990s ‘Mega Man’ TV series was cool and different than other series targeted at kids during that time. It featured great action, but also brought the laughs. Mega Man is a character that is even more relevant for today’s kids and we are really looking forward to creating something new that still respects the long tradition of the character.”

The “Mega Man” franchise is grounded in a series of video games, first launched in 1987, featuring battles fought by the eponymous blue robot protagonist and an ongoing cast of allies and enemies. The “Mega Man” multiverse has spawned over 130 video games on multiple gaming systems, selling over 30 million copies worldwide, as well as a plethora of toys, comics and collectibles. A highly-rated “Mega Man” TV series was popular in the USA in the 1990s and aired for several seasons.

YouTube user UltraSargent attempted to make a Planet Hulk trailer using existing footage from previous Marvel films. It was valid effort, but I’m not sure it really works. Here’s a note that came along with the video.

The Marvel heroes decide to send the Hulk away, he conquers the planet where he landed, and attempts to return to Earth to take his revenge.

Disney Interactive has released a lot of new images for you to check out from Star Wars Disney Infinity. We previously brought you a trailer for the game, and now thanks to these photos we get to see a little bit more action from the highly-anticipated addition to the open world Disney game.

The images feature the prequel themed playset, which is being called “Twilight of the Republic,” and they come along with images of the figures that include Anakin, Ashoka, Yoda, and Darth Maul. The other themed playset for the game is called “Rise Against the Empire,” which is focused on the original trilogy. That’s the one I’m excited about, and it includes character such as Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader. 

Disney Infinity 3.0 comes to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in the Fall. Are you going to buy it when it comes out?

My Little Pony has never looked so freakin’ hardcore. Artist Kelsey Wailes transformed several of the pony toys into characters from Mad Max: Fury Road. They were created with the help of some clay, acrylic paints, leather, and faux fur. The characters include My Little Mad Max, My Little Furiosa, My Little Nux, and My Little Immortal Joe.

Want to watch a live-action fight sequence between Scorpion and Jason Voorhees? The YouTube channel WTFLOL has got you covered. This is a spoof that was inspired by the latest installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise, Mortal Kombat X. It’s actually an entertaining fight scene that features a couple other fun cameos. 

Yesterday a rumor hit the internet that Jason Statham was in talks with Marvel to take on the role of Bullseye in Daredevil Season 2. According to Bloody-Disgusting, the rumors were in fact true, but because of the news was leaked so early, Statham removed himself from the running. The site says,

He was legitimately in heavy negotiations for the role and the leak killed it. Perhaps his agent saw the positive uproar and instantly upped the actor’s asking fee? Perhaps the studio spotted the same excited reaction and preemptively killed the deal out of fear of Statham’s management going for more money? Who knows. The bottom line is that yesterday the Crank star was at the top of the list and deep in negotiations and today Marvel has moved on to other pastures.

I don't agree with the site's speculation on why the actor dropped out. Statham's agent knows exactly how fans would react to the news, that's his job, and it's Jason freakin' Statham! The same goes for the studio, which is exactly why they wanted to bring him onto the series in the first place! They knew the fans would be excited about his casting, and they knew he wasn't going to be cheap because, again, it's Jason Freakin' Statham! So I don't think money played a factor.

If Statham did in fact drop out, it's hard to know why exactly that would be. The news leak obviously played a factor in the decision. I'm just not sure why widespread excitement would want to make him leave the project. The report goes on to offer this word of advice:

The moral of the story is that sometimes we, as film writers, sometimes just need to sit on scoops until they are more fully formed. And in this instance, things moved too fast.

That's just the world we live in, though. The way the internet works today with social media, everything moves fast all the time, and there's no slowing it down. I personally think there's more to the story behind-the-scenes, I just have no idea what it is. Maybe it was the amusing comments he made on the kind of weak sauce action that he sees in the Marvel movies. Maybe he dropped out as a matter of principle. 

There's no confirmation of any of this, though. This is basically a rumor based on news of a rumor, so there's a chance that the rumor of Statham being in the running for the series is still valid. 

There’s a U.K. film that was released back in March called Robot Overlords. The film came from director Jon Wright (Grabbers), and it seems like it did well enough to get a TV series spin-off. 

Wright made the announcement himself at the MCM London Comic Con and said, “This series will really expand the canvas of the robot occupation and we are aiming to make an explosive show that the UK will be very proud of.”

I haven’t seen the movie, but it had a great cast that included Gillian Anderson, Ben Kingsley, Callan McAuliffe, James Tarpey, and Ella Hunt.

These actors won’t be back for the series, it will center around a new ensemble cast, and it might be released under a different name. According to Tony Wood, who will be overseeing the project, we can expect something in the vein of Doctor Who and Quatermass.

There’s no word on when the U.S. will get to see the Robot Overlords movie, but I’m sure one day it will come, and when it does I’ll be around to watch it. Here’s the trailer!

Sendhil Ramamurthy, the actor who played Mohinder Suresh in the Heroes series, is coming back to reprise his role in Heroes Reborn. For those of you who don’t remember who this character is, he’s the geneticist/taxi driver who gave himself super strength by injecting himself with a formula of his own invention.

He joins his fellow co-stars Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, Jack Coleman as H.R.G., Jimmy Jean-Louis as The Haitian, and Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura. All five of these actors appeared in all four seasons of the show when it was on the air.

The new series follows a "seemingly ordinary group of people who gradually become aware that they have special abilities." According to the plot description, the story develops "showing their reactions to these powers, and how this discovery affects their personal and professional lives."

Heroes creator Tim Kring wrote and executive produced the new series, which also stars Zachary Levi (Chuck) along with Ryan Guzman (The Boy Next Door), Robbie Kay (Once Upon a Time), Danika Yarosh (Shameless), Judith Shekoni (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2), Kiki Sukezane (Death Yankee 3), Henry Zebrowski (A to Z), and Gatlin Green (Criminal Minds).

I’m curious to see how this upcoming limited series turns out.

It seems like it’s been a while since we’ve posted some cool fan art for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Here’s a great piece I recently came across that was created by artist Gabriel Serra. It feature Kylo Ren and Darth Vader’s helmet. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I’ve heard that Ren’s character has an obsessed with Darth Vader in the story. I think it’s interesting that this image kind of portrays that.

Dark Sky Films has released a new trailer for their upcoming horror film We Are Still Here. The movie looks awesomely freaky, and it’s a horror movie that I’m actually excited about seeing. 

The film was written and directed by Ted Geoghegan, and the story centers on a couple who are trying to recover from the loss of their son. As a way of trying to get a fresh start, they move to an isolated farmhouse in rural New England. Unfortunately for them, the house they move into has a dark history, and a century-old curse that is looking for a sacrifice.

The movie stars Barbara Crampton, Andrew Sensenig, Larry Fesseden, Lisa Marie, and Monte Markham. Here’s the official synopsis:

After their teenage son is killed in a car crash, Paul and Anne move to the New England countryside to try to start a new life. But the grieving couple unknowingly becomes the prey of a family of vengeful spirits that reside in their new home, and before long they discover that the seemingly peaceful town is hiding a terrifyingly dark secret. Now they must find a way to overcome their sorrow and fight back against both the living and dead as the malicious ghosts threaten to pull their souls – and the soul of their lost son – into hell with them. From the producers of The House Of The Devil and Cheap Thrills, WE ARE STILL HERE is a tense, frightening, and thoroughly haunting ghost story.

This is the first Hulkbuster toy I’ve seen from Avengers: Age of Ultron that actually fits a scale sized Iron Man action figure. That’s one of the main functionalities of the suit, so it’s cool to see King Arts effectively pull it off.

This is a 1/9th scale Hulkbuster action figure that stands at 16″ tall. It also includes LED light up features in the eyes, hands, feet, and chest, and the helmet/chest opens to allow the 1/9 scale Iron Man Mark XLIII to go inside. 

As you will see in the photos below, there are also multiple articulation points in the body and the fingers that gives it a high level of poseability.

Looking to class up your wardrobe with a a little geek flare? Check out these Star Trek: The Next Generation-themed ties. The ties are made of 100% polyester and they come in Command Red, Engineering/Ops Gold, or Science Blue. I think I just need to get all three and cover all my bases. 

Fans whose favorite flavor of Star Trek is Next Generation and those whose favorite flavor is Voyager rarely see eye-to-eye on things (except for the fact that Star Trek is awesome). But we think they can agree on these ties. Although these say they're TNG ties, we think with the color stack they way it's set up, Voyager fans will love these, too.

It looks like director Eli Roth’s horror film The Green Inferno is actually going to see the light of day. The movie was originally supposed to be released in theaters in September of 2014, but due to financial issues of the film's distributer, Open Road Films, the movie was pulled from release.

Blumhouse Productions has stepped in to rescue the movie, and they will release it on September 25th of this year. You can watch a previously released trailer here.

The story follows "a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save the rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone and that no good deed goes unpunished."

The film stars Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Daryl Sabara and Kirby Bliss Blanton. The other film Roth has coming out is the home invasion thriller Knock Knock starring Keanu Reeves, which will most likely come out sometime this summer. 

This new international trailer for Jurassic World really delivers on the heart-pounding terror that this movie will give audiences. There are no words spoken other than a faint, blood-curdling scream of the word "run" from Bryace Dallace Howard. It features a series of scenes from the film edited together with a dark and ominous musical score. The main focus of the trailer is the Indominus Rex hatching from its egg, and as we've already seen, this is a dinosaur no one wants to mess with.

This is the best trailer for the movie I've seen so far. I like the horror type vibe that it gives off, and I'm really hoping that the film delivers the greatness that the fans are expecting. The movie hits theaters next week on June 12th!

I’ve got another piece of fan art featuring Wolverine and Deadpool kicking each other’s asses. The illustration was done by Dave Paget, and it looks like a follow-up piece of art to a completely separate piece created by another artist which you can check out here. The image comes with the following note:

Late last month, we got our first look at Ridley Scott and Matt Damon's upcoming sci-fi thriller The Martian. Today, we have a stunning trailer for the great-looking film that's over three minutes long. The trailer offers us some more insight on the story and features Astronaut Mark Watney (Damon) trying to do what he can to survive on the planet and be rescued after a dust storm almost kills him. 

I've also included a informational viral video called "Ares 3: Farewell," which was shot by the main character in the story, and it offers us a look at his team’s manned mission to Mars. The video made a debut on Twitter yesterday after being linked by real-life former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino.

It looks like Scott has made an intense and awesome movie, and I can't wait to see it! The script was written by Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods), and the movie also has an incredible supporting cast that includes Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Peña, Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels, Mackenzie Davis, Sean Bean, Donald Glover, and Naomi Scott.

Now, he’s sure he’ll be the first person to die there.

Another day of living as a geek, another set of Star Wars trilogy movie posters that I find on the internet. This set was created by artist Brad Bishop. We posted the print above of A New Hope last year, but since then he has created prints for The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi, which you can check out below.
